yankiequilter Posted October 29, 2017 Report Share Posted October 29, 2017 Yes, absolutely! When I first got my Millie I did not have it and added it later. I think that it helps to keep the layers moving more consistently and therefore keeps them together and less chance of one getting a little off which could result in puckers. This is especially important when rolling the quilt back and forth. And if you have any hand/wrist problems the automatic advance makes quilting a lot easier.
