BS60 Posted March 20, 2018 Report Share Posted March 20, 2018 Hi, I'm looking for ideas on how to quilt this and what type/color of thread would be good. I designed this initially with the idea of custom stitching design in the solid area. However, the fabric is not a solid so I'm not sure that is such a good idea. I will have to have this quilted by someone else, so I'm guessing my budget is more suitable to a light custom design. The quilt is large ( 84" x 104"). Thanks so much! I appreciate all ideas! chickenscratch Posted April 14, 2018 Report Share Posted April 14, 2018 You might have already had this quilted, but as a quilter I would use the design in the blue fabric to create an overall design, then do something semi custom in the diamond shapes. Probably feather in the outer border then ribbon candy or wishbones in the center of each diamond. Budget friendly, unique, and one of a kind.
