Quilts2DI4
I am currently piecing and plan to quilt (my first REAL quilt on my new millennium) for a graduation present in June. The colors are very vivid and dark red and black on a white background. The school colors. I prewashed all the materials but now am worried they might run into the white after washing. Should I wash it either before or after quilting to find any problem before I give it to this unsuspecting student. I'm not sure she would know what to do if colors run, etc. Please help....I don't know the right steps to prevent a disaster! Having fun learning all about me machine..... Bonnie
I always wash and dry a quilt before giving as a gift....for just that reason, I don't want them to have a rude surprise when they wash it the first time. Also I always enclose a little note on care and the reasons why...then after that its up to them to follow them or not. Bonnie
