Another Tying Off Question

I've read all the back posts, but one thing isn't totally clear to me. If you knot and bury the threads of a start or stop, is it necessary to do little starting and stopping anchoring stitches also?

Hi Jen, I do them in place of. Some do both. and some just the standing stitch (almost standing in one place, not actually the exact same spot).

The Sharon Schamber network has a great free video on burying threads. I changed the way I was doing it after watching the video. I used to bury each pair of threads, now whenever possible, I bury 4 threads at a time it now takes me half the time to bury threads. I too use Sharon\'s method. I used to do the small stitches but by the time I got to the end of my quilt I decided that I liked it better without doing that.

Thanks for the link to Sharon Schamber\'s site.. I watched the video on doing feathers. It is very interesting, well worth watching. She makes it look so easy. I like the way she marks off the areas to get even patterns.
