Gator
Is it legal to use the APQS logo on our business cards/websites. I am proud to be an APQS longarmer and would like to advertise the fact. I know logos are copyrighted and want to do what\'s legal. I had to get permission to use my motorcycle club\'s logo (Red Knights) for embroidery projects. Does APQS have a simular ruling?
quiltmonkey
You better check with the big boys in Iowa on use of the logo. But you could probably legally write in plain text (with no logo) that you own an APQS (insert model here) machine.
Gator
Don\'t worry Shana, I wouldn\'t think of using the copyrighted logo without permission. Just thought I\'d check it out here first.
Myrna Ficken
You could certainly say that you use an APQS machine on your card. Myrna
Darlene Epp
I believe using the APQS logo would indicate that you in some way represent APQS. I think that is probably reserved for APQS Dealers. Check with Heidi@apqs.com .
HeidiKaisand
We have no problem with anyone stating that they quilt on an APQS machine. But, I will not allow the use of the logo on business cards, other than for sales rep and employees. Sorry. Gator
Thanks Heidi, that\'s what I thought and I do understand why. Just wanted to clarify the use of the name.
belquilt
I would think if you used the logo in a short sentence on your card indicating that you used an APQS longarm machine that would be ok and that the folks in Iowa would love it - free advertising. I have seen cards from other LA\'ers with competitor machines use that logo on their cards. Just a thought! I see Heidi has responded, but I see the APQS logo on LA\'ers websites all the time when advertising their services and they are not dealers. Oh well.....
