anchoring threads

Recommended Posts

Well - it\'s me again with another basic question. I have always anchored my stitching at the beginning and end of quilting by going back and forth at the same place - zip zip, but at times this looks like too much thread. How do you all anchor your stitches in a tidy way? I bury threads when doing custom.

Thanks in advance.

Try using the needle up and down several times, not necessarily in the same spot but as if you are taking teeny tiny stitches...sometimes it is faster/easier to buzz the machine on manual for a split second too.

Also, say you are doing SID around a square, when you start, dont start right at the corner so that when you come around you stitch right on top of the beginning which secures that and then you secure your ends. I hope that makes sense...?
