APQS
Growing up I used to love to hang out in mom's kitchen and just watch the three ring circus...packed with five kids, a Siamese cat and lots of stories and laughter--and some really good food. All my friends joked that we were the Waltons--and we were (yes I was John Boy). Out of all the recipes and meals we had nothing compared to the huge pans of lasagna and bean-sagna. Mom would always find some way to drag us into the process from stirring the noodles to grading the cheese. To this day nothing fills Mom's house or my house with more friends, laughter and love than a big ole lasagna dinner... Ingredients: garlic 1 1/2 pound hamburger 1 pack dry onion soup mix (Lipton brand) 1 cup water 1 can tomato sause lasagna noodles cottage cheese and Parmesan mozzarella Preps: Prepare noodles and brown the hamburger (for a veggie alternative add beans instead of hamburger) Add garlic, tomato sause, dry onion soup mix to hamburger Assemble: --Grab a 9x13 pan --Add alternating layers of hamburger sause & cottage cheese/mozzarella cheese and noodles--the kids love to help with this because it's messy! --When you get to the top of the pan, top off with cheese and Parmesan Bake at 375 until top crust is golden brown--about half hour. If I close my eyes I can smell it baking right now!
