The plan was to make my daughter a quilt for her Sweet 16. It's a bit late since I had to have foot surgery. I think it was kind of a blessing tho. She did get a car and a huge Sweet 16 Ball. I think the quilt would not have been that big of a deal compared to her car, ball gowns, party and dance with her friends. She will see it when she comes home from school today. I'm excited it's finally finished and she finally gets a new quilt with bright colors she has been asking for. I've not made her another quilt since she was 6. I hope she loves it.

    Stinking cute

This is a customer's quilt on the frame right now. If I would get off the computer I could probably finish it. It is a CrabbApple Hill pattern. Freehand on my Millie.

Yesterday, yes even on a Sat., I had to go about 30 miles, up to Raleigh for an MRI, at 9:00 a.m. Then at 2 we went to a friends funeral. She had a sense of humor that can't be beat. Well they were a mixed race couple, and he was color blind. One day: He asked a friend to put something out in his 'white' pickup. The guy searched high and low out in the parking lot and couldn't find a white pick up. He went back in and told Freeman there wasn't a white pick-up out there. Freeman pointed to a pick up and said, "its right there". His friend told him, "That is gold, not white!" His wife popped up with "Don't let that be a bother, it took him 3 years to figure out I'm white!" Need I say the congregation broke up? Too funny. In the evening we drove about 30 miles south to celebrate our 57th anniversary at Long Horn with our 2 daughters and son-in-law. None of the grandkids were there! Have a wonderful week, and God Bless, Rita

    Avery's Surprise! quilt

The front of this quilt is for my grandson Avery. The Spiderman back is more for my son, Avery's dad. Behind each of the sets of triangles, there is a special fabric with images that Avery can look for. One of my favorites is the macaroni and cheese fabric you see here. The pattern is Surprise! from Karie Patch Designs. Brenda

Kristina and Amy, I am having trouble finding the pictures you link to. Amy on that Webshots, I only get a place to sign up to get an email from them. Then I went and registered, but don't find a place to put in the link to find your picture. Someone else on here also linked to Webshots and I got the same result. Kristina, your link takes me to the the APQS forum page where you click on the area you want to explore. It does not connect to a page like this with a number of postings. What am I doing wrong? Leader Grips

I recently installed LeaderGrips on my new Millie and did a blog post about how I sewed the casings and some modifications I made to increase the strength in the junction points. You might find it helpful. It is over on my blog.
