Long arm ruler storage

I wanted to share with you what I did yesterday. I have been thinking about this for a while, storage for my Long arm rulers. My BH and I created an area under my long arm table to store them. I own a 2005 Millie and had it blissed a year and a half ago. So I had extra Rails and table top. I did not want to drop the rails down and create another shelf as my husband built me a rolling batting holder for under my machine. So I came up with this design and I LOVE IT. I can see and find them and have lots of room to buy more. More pictures of the process on my facebook page, if you cli2 points -

Very clever and good use of space.1 point -
I did embroidery before I got my longarm and I had fun with it but I never got the top of the line embroidery program....some machines now come with a lot already built into the machine...but top of the line embroidery machines can cost more than a brand new Lucey....and then if you want the fancy software add on more $$$. I paid about $500 for my simple embroidery editing program....but...if you want to do just labels and words, you may get by with a simpler machine and program...the programs do get replaced every few years and to stay up with the latest, you would have to upgrade frequently1 point

I received mine from Jane Brown about a year ago. She is a member on the forum under "Dave-Jane". I do not know if she still sells them but said she had a supply of them at the time. Her email was countryquiltscrafts@gmail.com at the time. It did take her a little time to send it due to family health problems. It was worth the wait. Cheryl1 point -

Hi Cagey- Thank you for the lovely compliment! I'm glad to hear that you found my video to be helpful, and that my teaching technique works well for you. I appreciate your kind words! I'm scaling way back on my teaching schedule at shows. There are just so many shows now and trying to do them all is exhausting and takes me away from my fabric way too much. This year, I've decided to only teach at MQS in May, Handi Quilter Academy in June, and AQS Des Moines and Festival in Houston in the fall. I've got a couple of long-haul international teaching trips to squeeze in there as well, so t1 point -

Judy, Sorry to hear about your accident and the loss of your horse. I live in an Amish community and have horses myself. Very devastating for all involved. Glad to hear you and yours will be ok.1 point

Thanks for the reply, Heidi. I just couldn't imagine doing that by machine, and just had to ask. I wish I could do hand work again. Maybe one day.1 point -
I'm so sorry to hear of your accident and the loss of your horse. I have read of so many accidents in the last few year involving horses and bicycles and had a near wreck once myself when somebody threw a beer bottle at my horse while whooping and hollering as they passed me. There is always so many comments, especially on social media, about "those people should be on or near the traffic lanes. People are so self centered and arrogant these days......they must get to where they want to be with no thoughts to anyone else. Sorry for the rant. Hope you recover quickly.1 point
