  1. It is with a broken heart that I must tell all my friends on this forum that our grandson, David, went to a much better place Friday evening at 7:00. I want to thank all for prayers that were send out way thru this past 7 months. It has been a very long 7 months but David is now at peace. Our family is hurting, but he is not suffering anymore.
  2. Prayers coming your way. Hope everything turns ok good for your grandson. Your family is in my thoughts as you go through this time.
  3. I have not updated you all on my grandson, David. I am sorry, but things have been very hectic, not a good excuse, but it is just that way. We have been very busy getting him to treatment 5 days a week plus many Dr. appointments. David went through 33 radiation treatments and 33 chemo treatments, the last MRI showed that the treatments did not do anything for him. The brain tumor is again growing at an alarming rate. The MRI shows that it is very large and covers a much larger part of the brain. One praise is that he is not in any pain as the tumor is not growing on the outside, but in
  4. Roxanne, You and your family have been added to my prayer list. Hugs coming your way. Pray that your aunt improves and that the surgeons are skilled with your husband's back surgery. Also a special prayer for the caregiver, you. Pray that you will be given the strength to endure all that is upon you right now.
  5. So sorry for your loss, prayers and hugs coming your way.
  6. Prayers for your Aunt, her family and for you. May each of you have peace and blessings with this.
  7. Prayers coming your way. May the Dr. hands be guided by our Lord. Keeping you in my thoughts thru this.
  8. Just to let you all know about David. He had his 8th radiation treatment yesterday. He has learned to take his nausea pill at the same time as his chemo pill and has not been sick in a while. He had lost about 60 pounds, but he gained 6 pounds last week!! He eats everything he sees right now. He has regained the use of his right arm and is walking with a limp, but walking. He still has some difficulty forming the words he wants to say at times, but that is improving also. Last week he had a seizure, fortunately we had just finished a radiation treatment and were just blocks from the hosp
  9. Prayers coming your way. You will be in my thoughts tomorrow.
  10. Prayers answered, David will be released tomorrow. He is not out of the woods by any means, but he has come so far. Drs are in awe at his progress. I will find out tomorrow what the next step will be. I think they want to start radiation at the end of this week. Will know tomorrow how often and where I will be taking him. Thank you for all the support and prayers. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
  11. Ladies, there is very good news today. As you know several days ago the Dr. told us David would not live to get his first radiation treatment because the tumor was growing at an alarming rate. Today is the 4th day he has not had a headache, he is moving his right side, in fact, he was up today using a walker and walked the entire length and back of the hospital hall. The Dr. tells us that he will probably do his radiation treatments as an outpatient. What an awesome God we serve. He is still in the business of miracles. We do not know what the future has in store for David but we will ta
  12. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Having lost both of my parents you are never ready to lose them. It is a void that cannot be filled. Prayers are with you and your family.
  13. We have had a good turn for David. The Dr. told us several days ago that he would not live but a few more days...the MRI showed that the 20 percent of the tumor that had to be left had already grown to almost the size it was when he preformed surgery. He told us this 2 days after the second surgery was preformed. MRI yesterday showed the tumor is still growing but only a small bit. David has not had a headache in 24 hours, he is moving his right side, and is wanting a cheeseburger. Today Physical therapy was working with him and he has been moved from ICU into a private room. We will tak
