  1. I found out the only difference in the 1230 and the 1260 is the second alphabet and the fancy color swoosh on the machine. I have a very lonely 180E in the back room. LOL. The 1230 is the one I use every day. The 180 finally got drug out of the closet for the first time in over a year to do some fancy machine stitching. You really cannot go wrong with the earlier Berninas. Sometimes I wish I still had my 500 series that I sold when I got the 1230.:):):)

  2. Bonnie here is what I found on the Crinkle:

"Unlike the shiny japan finish on the Standard Featherweight 221, the bed of the Featherweight 221 crinkle machine has a dull textured finish and three parallel grooves cut into the perimeter. Its faceplate is either the standard plated striated faceplate that was introduced on Featherweights during the AH serial number series in 1947 or a plain black faceplate with three vertical grooves down the center."

P.s. when do I pick you up at PDX for the Moxie meeting?

  3. Well thanks, Heidi. I didn't have enough to do so I went and bought the pattern. Sheesh girl!!

I tried to find Powell Publications for you Neline, but they dont exist anymore either. They must have been a specialty publishing company because they also published some Shirley Thompson books on finishing your quilt....actual quilting designs from 1980 and 1984. I am guessing it was a small family run publishing company that died out. We had several of those in N Idaho that simply ceased to exist. I did find a lady that took a workshop from Maria and is still in the quilting business so I emailed her to see if she has any info on what might have happened to her. This is kind of fun, being a detective. Now, back to babysitting my cutie little DGS.

    Nancy:):):):)
