  7. Thank you Linda. I will check it out. And find a source for the cleaning product. You are always so knowledgeable. I appreciate it. I see a handkerchief Quilt in my near future.
  8. i found a stack of over 50 vintage hankies for $10 this am wow, when I sorted through them there is enough to make three nice size quilts in three colorways. That said, a few of the light ones need stain removal. Does anyone know the name of the product ypunuse to soak vintage linens. i cannot remember it.

  12. Updating: Lucey or Lenni on either 8 or 10 table. Prefer 8 as i have limited room. Bliss is not required as none of my machines has had it I can pay shipping but am located in Florida so need seller to pack it up. I can arrange pick up with trusted driver.
  13. Looking for a Lenni. Prefer 8’ table but 10 could work. Bliss or not no big deal. I can have it picked up but seller must take down and pack in apqs boxes. I am in Florida panhandle. Thanks so much, look forward to hearing from y’all
  14. That is driveable from the panhandle. Unfortunately i do not have room for a 12 foot table. Darn it.
  15. I found out the only difference in the 1230 and the 1260 is the second alphabet and the fancy color swoosh on the machine. I have a very lonely 180E in the back room. LOL. The 1230 is the one I use every day. The 180 finally got drug out of the closet for the first time in over a year to do some fancy machine stitching. You really cannot go wrong with the earlier Berninas. Sometimes I wish I still had my 500 series that I sold when I got the 1230.:)
  16. There is one on ebay with a buy it now of $1299 and currently 14 bids. I looked at the picture. It looks exactly like my 1230 except Bernina is in Red and there are some color swipes where the dials are. I wonder what the difference is.
  17. Bonnie here is what I found on the Crinkle: "Unlike the shiny japan finish on the Standard Featherweight 221, the bed of the Featherweight 221 crinkle machine has a dull textured finish and three parallel grooves cut into the perimeter. Its faceplate is either the standard plated striated faceplate that was introduced on Featherweights during the AH serial number series in 1947 or a plain black faceplate with three vertical grooves down the center." P.s. when do I pick you up at PDX for the Moxie meeting?
  18. http://www.americanquilter.com/publications/readers_quilts_view.php?id=25 If you double click on the picture it gives you a real closeup so you can see the colors are not from the light on satin, it is from the colorway she chose. Very cool
  19. Oh baby, I see my first silk quilt coming up. Gonna start acquiring fabric. Anyone know of good silk sources? I don't want dupioni. Just good ole silk. I am saving that pic to a folder. The colorations she did for the shadowing are amazing. Yep. Y seams? I will be an expert by the time I get done......LOL
  20. Well thanks, Heidi. I didn't have enough to do so I went and bought the pattern. Sheesh girl!! I tried to find Powell Publications for you Neline, but they dont exist anymore either. They must have been a specialty publishing company because they also published some Shirley Thompson books on finishing your quilt....actual quilting designs from 1980 and 1984. I am guessing it was a small family run publishing company that died out. We had several of those in N Idaho that simply ceased to exist. I did find a lady that took a workshop from Maria and is still in the quilting business so I emailed her to see if she has any info on what might have happened to her. This is kind of fun, being a detective. Now, back to babysitting my cutie little DGS. Nancy:):)
