That would of turned my day bad quickly! do any of the techy reps have the pdf that can be emailed to me!? thanks in advance!

so i have been given an "all clear" to return to "normal activities" with the medical advice of "If it hurts, stop doing it" (well duh. i could tell people that for $100 an hour) i'm still not 100% tho. i have just started being able to bear weight with my left arm! Yeah to being able to raise the wine glass...wait, i mean water , glass with out using both hands!! i would say close to 55%- 60% and i'm driving again!! yeah for independence!! i have perfected driving a stick shift almost one handed i have quilted two of my own quilts (pictures on blog soon) and hope to ease back into c

my colloarbone was broken by the seatbelt and i had 3-4 bruised ribs. i also have a vessel in my neck that is giving me some great comic relief: if i move just right i get wicked dizzy/spinney. i have puked once from the spins and almost passed out the other time. *fun times* blood thinners are fun too! why am i so fascinated by my Xrays!?? i love looking at how all my bones fit together. my favorite is the hyoid bone in the bilateral head shot. maybe i was a doctor in a past life...

first, i want to say a HUGE thank you to all the well wishes for my recovery!! i'm finally seeing the light at the end of this tunnel. i have a bone doctor's appointment Friday and i'm hoping for an "all clear" to get back to quilting.... AND for all those that have always wanted to get "inside my head"- here ya go...... not very exciting is it.... (told ya so) notice the absence of any cobwebs

i used the basic template when i first started- full page, white background, and dark grey font color, then went in to the advanced part and tweaked it...i don't think 'my' template is available anymore....but play around, you might find one you like. -

vintage singer question
doodlebug replied to doodlebug's topic in Gone Quilting...Chat About Anything
i got it all off, i used the edge of a rotary ruler . i think the tape held a pin cushion- you can see the gouges in the finish then gave her a good spit polish with car wax! she's a beaut! can't wait to get some thread and see how she stitches thanks to Debbie for suggesting the baby oil! that was the ticket! -
vintage singer question

so i tried WD-40, it worked to get the rest of the plastic part of the tape off, but it didn't do anything to the glue residue. it did help remove some ?rusty/oxidation? spots *yay* then i remembered i had some baby oil gel, so i tried that. slowly but surely the dried glue residue is coming off...no damage to the finish or decals i did car wax the throat and base and it's amazing the different that made... i took the hook assembly out, cleaned, and oiled and now she purrs like a kitten when running!! once i get the rest of that nastiness off, i'll share more pictures.... i -
i finally found another singer 15-91!! *yay* i knew moving to the boonies, i'd find one quicker the problem is that the previous owner, for some god forsaken reason, used brown plastic tape to tape something to the harp.... my question- how can i remove said tape and sticky residue without harming the finish/paint of the machine???

if you use chalk to mark, you know what a mess it can be when it comes to refilling your Pounce Pad or chaco-liner. i found a solution!! i bought a cheap dye bottle from my local beauty supply store (less than a buck). i funneled my chalk in it and 'squirt' it into whatever i need to refill. it's a breeze to get that chalk into the top of that itty bitty chaco-liner. NO mess and it doesn't get all over (except when you try to do it one handed and take pictures at the same time ) if you have multiple colors of chalk, buy a bottle for each color. i prefer to use white Miracle Chalk.
