  1. I am so sorry to hear of your terrible loss, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family
  2. WOW I have just finished reading this entire post, my coffee has gone cold and my cereal is soggy:P. I am pleased everything has turned out "sort of" right. Unfortunately these things leave a nasty taste in ones mouth, and it will take you a long time to forget. BUT As you retreat to your studio to design and quilt just make sure that the next quilt you put in your local show is an absolute drop dead gorgeous jaw dropping knock out that will leave everyone speechless.:o:o:o:o:o Sending good wishes and thoughts from across the ocean;)
  3. Oops I thank you all in advance, I know there will be some wonderful suggestions
  4. Help !! I have almost finished this Indian Hatchet quilt, (borders still to go on) and have no idea how to quilt it. Do I treat each 16 inch block seperately, I don't really want to do an E2E. I invisage "something" weaving its way around the quilt but I'm not sure about feathers. The background fabric is Kona black and the feature fabric is scrap Japanese, the photo really doesn't do it justice.
  5. Wow that is gorgeous, can't wait to find the time to work on mine:)
  6. Would love to join in but the end of this year is extremely busy for me. I am away most of September and October. Hope you have lots of fun. I will just have to live vicariously through all the photos that will be posted (hint hint)
  7. Thanks Shannon, I'm pleased you knew I meant the batik swap, see I told you I'm not into the swing of things yet. NOW to finish my spring swap quilt top, have it together just need some inspiration for the borders;)
  8. Hi Shannon Just wondering if my spring blocks made it to you ok. I have been away and only just getting back into the swings of things. I have checked the recent posts but can't find anything. I can relate to your recent road trip;) my daughter sent out an s.o.s. and I drove 2952 kilometres round trip, that is 1834 miles. Two days driving, three days spent with her and then 2 days to drive home. The things we do for our children, doesn't matter how old they are;)
  9. Dell I love what you did on the GFG, will have to save this to my favourites as I have been working on one for the past 18 months Thanks for all the ideas:)

  13. Wow, have never seen that done before. I watched it several times and the thing that I noticed was that her strips weren't pressed. When she went to pin then on you could see the crease from the fold. I think you could get into a whole heap of trouble doing borders that way.
