  6. I just love my leadergrips, I would not turn a quilt for borders, Now I have no problem with turning for borders, done in a snap, red snap that is. Also, Marshall Dry Goods is were I purchased my Cotton Duck for new Leaders, nice heavy fabric., Just Google them. Laura:D:D
  7. I have a bobbin casing set for each thread type I use, a little tweek and I'm good, I also use the same thread top and bottom, seems there is very little problem with tension that way Laura

  12. Thanks everyone I have 3 quilts done now, the 1st was a old top of my own then a customer baby top and a really nice customer batic top, they all turned out awesome, just did overalls on them. I start my 1st custom on thursday, a little nervous about that one. I am have a few small issues and working my way thrue them. Gotta Say, Love my CQ I'm on the run Thanks Laura:P
  13. De Loa was here today, I got to see her rope a dope, and her 2 new tools, she has a awesome circle tool and heart tool, she said she will have them at mqs next week. She gifted me a heart tool She sure is a nice person. Laura
  14. My CQ was installed today, DeLoa and Dave drove over to do the install. I hope you all won't mind me asking ? as the days go by, I just know it will fall out of my head when I go to sleep tonight. I am soooo tired and excited, think I will go play some more Thanks Laura

  16. Myrna, Do you have the black gunk problem with the M& M Wheels, I have edgeriders now, and have to clean my wheels and track !/2 way thrue most quilts, A real pain in my *!^. Thanks everyone for your input, I started the quilt this AM, I am SID the dark areas, radiating lines in the light area's, Have not decided about the stars yet, but I like the metalic thread Idea, the border, I am SID the dark, and meandering the light, looks pretty good, I am using bottom line, so the thread blends. I will post when she's done, thinkin Monday for completion date, this is a big quilt, 126" long x 96" wide, she'll take awhile Laura
  18. bringing to the top, hoping for a few more ideas, I like the star background idea, I have been thinking of doing the dark logs in a diamond type style, on the border, I thought I might meander the light and SID the dark, What do you think, Laura

  20. This is a log cabin, the stars are appliqued on, any ideas would really help, This quilt will be in a quilt auction, so I would like to do something special, any Ideas? Thanks Laura
