kimjohny reacted to TracyeQ in stinking loops of top thread on back...again
Thanks guys! Dawn had me send an email with pics of the back and diagnosed it immediately ... I had to tighten the screw in my tensioner discs... Worked like a charm until yesterday... I advanced the quilt, which had looked fine for 1/3 of it, to find the whole back looking furry with massive loops everywhere... All the other times it's happened it's been random and I always had "bubbles" in the top thread to give me a heads up... So I've spent the last 2 days ripping... Gonna go tweak the tensioner screw again and tighten up some tensions... Hope that does the trick... sigh...

kimjohny got a reaction from Bekah in I did it...Bliss is on it's way!
I took the plunge and just ordered the Bliss Upgrade for my 2006 Millie.  I can't wait to see how much easier the machine will operate.  I've only read good things on this forum regarding Bliss.  I also saw the video from Sparrow Studios showing how "Lenni" moved down the table with only a fan blowing on it, what?  Talking with Amy yesterday kind of sealed the deal.  Looking forward to my delivery.

Yours in soon to be smoothly rolling stitches,
    Kim

I played with Bliss at a road show recently.  First I sewed on a Freddie without the Bliss system. It was nice and smooth and easy to move.  I really didn't expect anything big from the Bliss, and was quite sure I wasn't going to pay extra for it.  Then I moved to the Millie with Bliss, and it took all of about 10 seconds to completely change my mind!  I clearly felt the difference, and I KNEW I had to have Bliss on my machine when I ordered it.  So I sat down with Josh (the presenter) and put a deposit on a machine WITH BLISS.  Can't wait!

kimjohny got a reaction from Beachside Quilter in new hook assembly?
Jeez, you guys are the best!!!  I'll start over with the tension check tomorrow.  I appreciate you replying to my post.  I've adjusted the hopping foot as per a post you have had in the past.  I might have it a bit too tight as I have to give a good push to slide the card under but it seems to be level.  I'll recheck that also.  The needle bar feels firm but I hear a slight ticking nose which means it's got a very slight movement to it.  That'll get a recheck too.

    Thanks again Vicki and Dawn!!!
