harcathy reacted to ffq-lar in 2010 Millennium 12’ many extras
Caution *****It looks like Dave has re-registered on this site. This seller is Dave Jones, who has a bad reputation in the industry. He had a good gig buying and selling longarms and doing deliveries/set/up between buyers and sellers. But several deals went sour and caused a loss of reputation for him. Be very careful and make sure you pay AFTER delivery and not before.

Zeke, move your pictures into Paint program.. or click on them and select Öpen With" then select Paint. They are usually built into computers.. there click on Ïmage" then on "Resize and Skew", you can use the first two boxes, both have 100 in them, to reduce the picture size.. try various sizes from 60% to 30%, depending on the pixels your camera is using.. if it's not the size you want, go to Edit and click on Undo.. go back to pict and try a diff. size.
also the extra posts whic didn't bring up the pic t. you can go into ëdit" in the top right corner of your posts, one at a time, and scroll down a bit and you will find a block to check for Delete This Message, then Edit Post. They disappear.

harcathy reacted to anniemueller in Pink Halloween Quilt
Look what I got to quilt! It's a pink themed Halloween quilt, to display at our local hospital during the month of October. Pink because it's breast cancer awareness month. The Jackson Hole Quilt Guild rotates a quilt display every month at our local hospital. The nurses and patients really appreciate it. We've had a hard time in years past trying to find a pink quilt for the October display. So we had the bright idea to make a quilt just for that. Different people made the applique blocks, others sewed them together with sashing and border. I quilted it, and just handed it off to another member to attach the binding. A terrific collaboration.
Last May I took a few classes from Judi Madsen in Salt Lake City. I just LOVE her work. So, you will see that she inspired this quilting.
The bat bra block is the one that really got me started with the quilt designs. The lady who made it drew a spider in a web on the cleavage, so clever and so easy to quilt that design!
Judi had just posted an applique quilt that she'd finished that had bugs in it. She gave the bugs motion by quilting a swirly design under them. I thought the ghosts need that swirly design too. Remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?!
I used a wool batting, glide thread with magna glide bobbins. Love those magna glide bobbins! Angela Huffman is a great source for them and her delivery is super fast.
Thanks for looking!

I've asked for this 5 yrs ago. At that time Dawn thought they were working on one. Then i think it just got dropped. Still praying one comes to fruition!!
Especially like 3 feet...each with different sized holes for different thicknesses of threads/yarns..etc. like HandiQuilters have!!

harcathy reacted to SWall in Petit Fours Quilt
I finished my Petit Fours quilt last night! I'm very pleased with how it turned out. It's a layer cake/jelly roll pattern from Hummingbird Highway. I tried a new binding technique that was shown at our last quilt guild meeting and just LOVE the effect it has on the quilt. It's a flange binding which gives it the piping detail look. Very easy to do and I think it gives this quilt a 'Tuxedo' look to it.
