  1. There is indeed a winner! https://www.apqs.com
  2. Is the thread catching on something in the thread path? If there is nothing catching try using a thread net. It is possible the thread isn't feeding smoothly from the cone.
  3. APQS have leaders in the store. https://shop.apqs.com/pc_combined_results.asp?search_prod=(searchlike~p.sku~leaders|Or|searchlike~ p.nm~leaders|Or|searchlike~ p.ds~leaders|Or|searchlike~ p.search_terms~leaders|Or|searchlike~ p.child_rollup_search_terms~leaders)&search_keyword=leaders
  4. Have you checked out the used APQS sale? There was one recently and there was a 2019 Lucey for $9,950.00. It may well have sold but the sales roll around every so often. If you don't already get APQS e-mails it might be a good idea to sign up. I don't know anything about the HQ machine you are interested in, but one thing I would check is if it is possible to do any repair work yourself or if the machine would need to be shipped back to the factory. APQS machines, as you probably know are industrial machines and are very solid, reliable machines. It is possible to change out parts when necessary, with the help of customer service. There rarely is a need to ship the machine back unless it is going for a spa treatment. Good luck with your shopping!!
  5. Have you tried changing your needle and checking the thread path for burrs?
  6. I don't know which bobbin winder you have. Does yours have a fuse? If so it may have blown.
  7. Have you checked for burrs? Also check to see if the thread guides have worn down into a groove. It they have try turning them upside down so the thread is running through a different part of the guide. If you can work out where on the thread path the shredding occurs it will give you an idea which area to check. Good luck.
  8. Urban Elementz now sell the R&S design boards. The couple that owned Circle Lord have retired. https://www.urbanelementz.com/design-boards.html
  9. If you contact APQS and give them the serial number on your machine they will probably be able to help.
  10. I seem to remember reading the IQ are helping Compuquilter owners. You might try contacting them and see if they can offer any suggestions. Good luck.
  11. Good luck to you Dawn. Thank you for all you have done over the years and for sharing your wisdom. We will miss you.
  12. Have you tried a bigger needle? I am not familiar with the top thread that you are using but it looks in your pictures as though it is probably about a 40wt so a larger needle may help. Even though you have put a new needle in there are sometimes bad needles in a batch.
  13. I have this one for my Millie http://www.lovetoquilt.com. I am having difficulty getting the link to post. Go to the website and check under machine accessories. Be aware that this site can sometimes be very slow to fill orders.
  14. I bought one of these to replace my old iron. I have been pleased with it. It produces lots of steam and doesn't leak. It does not have an auto off function so once it has heated up it stays hot ready for use. https://dupray.com/collections/steam-irons/
  15. The size. The M bobbin holds more thread than the L bobbin.
  16. Try using a thread net over the cone. Also soak a small piece of batting in mineral oil and place the batting in the thread guide above the cone. Hope that this will help.
  17. Another beauty! I hope that is going into a show. It is meant to be drooled over.
  18. Amazing quilting. Congratulations on being juried into the show.
  19. HI joy, This what I found http://www.loriclesquilting.com, there is an e-mail at the bottom of the page. I haven't heard anything of Michael recently either. I hope that all is well with him.
