  1. Ron and Sharon, the couple that owned R & S retired and sold their business to Urban Elementz if I remember correctly. The majority of the boards that R & S sold were designs from Urban Elementz designers so it is logical that they acquired the business.
  2. Both quilts are amazing. This one reminds me of one of the beautiful floor designs that can be seen in older historic buildings.
  3. Congratulations on your new Lenni and welcome to the forum. Have fun!
  4. I agree, great colours and wonderful quilting too!
  5. I have been using a titanium blade too. It may just be wishful thinking but the blade does seem sharper than a regular blade. I bought my first one, which is still going strong at a quilt show about eighteen months ago and the second one at my local Joann's with a coupon.
  6. I would check to see if the Handi Quilter allows you to make simple repairs and adjustments yourself, or if you have to ship it back to the factory. On the APQS machines we can do many things ourselves. Help is just a phone call away. If it is necessary to ship the machine back to the factory it can become costly quickly. Good luck with your soon to be business.
  7. Mary Beth, Are you referring to the spam do dad? If you are did you add the numbers together? I am so used to just typing what is shown that I didn't initially realize that I was supposed to add the numbers and not just type them!! If I had read the instructions I would have done better.
  8. Nope, it is a different size but the R & S stylus does fit in the CL stylus holder.
  9. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your Lucey. I have both Circle Lord and R & S boards and like them both. The Circle Lord boards are longer and you buy them as a set. They snap together like jig saw pieces and they usually come in king or queen sets. The two brands do use their own style stylus. R & S are purchased as separate boards. As I don't have a business that allows me to buy more designs as they are less expensive and I can buy two boards and flip them as I go along. I have at times just bought one board to see if I like the design stitched out. I mark around the board on the clear plastic on the table with a dry erase or washable marker, move the board, mark, etc. across the table before I begin. The boards use rubber washers fitted into a groove to fix them together. As far as instructions on their use, Circle Lord does have some instructions and Michael is always happy to answer questions. I don't remember if R & S have instructions or not but the boards are pretty straightforward as far as use and I am sure they would be more than happy to answer any questions. R & S are currently having a sale through July 17th.
  10. WOW, that is amazing! I know that it is intended for a grandchild but I hope that you enter it in a show or two.
  11. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your Lenni purchase.
  12. Have you checked to see if there will be a Road Show in your area? That would give you the opportunity to try the machines side by side. There would probably be specials price wise too! http://www.apqs.com/event-calendar/category/road-shows/
  13. Getting carried away is obviously a good thing! It is wonderful.
  14. It looks like a great space. I am with Kathy, I love your ironing board!
  15. The Circle Lord website has been down for several weeks, at least I haven't been able to access it. I hope all is well with Michael and Kay.
  16. Here is a link http://quilt-ez.com/butler-quilting-robot-home/
  17. Sharon, You may only have completed two quilts last year but they are both amazing. Your quilting is beautiful. Congratulations on your soon to be sixth grandchild.
  18. Sorry, forgot that minor detail! The ones that I have are two inches in diameter and fit very snugly on the bar. As I said I haven't used mine, I just slipped them on today, I think that with use they may become a little easier to get on and off as right now they are a little difficult to get off.
  19. Barbara, I haven't used them. Now that I have rediscovered them I will give them a try! You could make them yourself fairly easily with the right tool. They are an eighth of an inch thick PVC piping, it is thin so there is some flex in it, with an inch wide piece cut out of it lengthwise. You could customize the length that you want. It would probably cost less than the postage to Hawaii.
  20. Barbara, The vendor list for MQX has been taken down. I was hoping that it would jog my memory. I did find something that looks like the ones that I have here http://virginialongarm.com/?page_id=1200, they are about half way down the page and are called something different. Hope this helps.
