srichardson got a reaction from dbams in 10 ft table
I have a 2008 Millie.  My leaders measure 103.5 inches.  The size of table was dictated by the size of my sewing room.  I would have bought a twelve foot table if I had the room.  In reality the ten foot has served me well and I haven't needed a larger frame.  I don't have a quilt business and haven't needed to quilt any king sized quilts.

Thank you Ladies.  I ordered Quilt Path yesterday.  My dealer (Bill) said he would send a note to the Quilt Path FB administrator.

I made the decision (took a leap of faith) and reassembled the machine as I did not recall any fabric type items in the science classes I took many years ago about electric motors.
I changed the main fuse first and tested the machine.    It worked just the way it has always worked for the past 17 years !!!!!!
You should know that I have really appreciated your excellent and professional guidance and patience with my situation.   It was a pleasure to have had your assistance.
             Many Thanks Again Nigel,

It may do the trick.  Give it a good soaking and see if that does it.
Good luck and enjoy your new to you machine.

    Hi,

I don't have a Quilt Path so I am unable to offer any suggestions I am afraid.  I just wanted to let you know that there is a Quilt Path Facebook group.  It is a private group so you will have to ask to join.  They would be able to help you.
If your machine won't start either you might want to check to see if the fuse has blown.  If you happen to be in Canada your machine will have two fuses.
I hope that you are able to get an answer to your Quilt Path problem and get back to quilting..

I am not familiar with your machine and frame so excuse me if this is a silly question!  Is there a bar in front of the back bar that is positioned lower than the back bar?  If so are you loading your quilt under this bar before it rolls up onto the back bar?
This is a picture of an APQS machine but it will give you an idea of what I am referring to.
Good luck with your machine and happy quilting.

There is a pretty active APQS Facebook page and Sheri may be a member.  I don't use Facebook so can't say for sure if she posts on there.  She used to be very active on this forum but it has been a while since she has posted.  Have you searched on here for her?
    Good luck with your search.
I found this e-mail address for Sheri.  It may be the one that you already have!

srichardson got a reaction from dbams in Do you release tension on a loaded quilt when you do not work on it for a longer time?
    Hi Katrina,

    Welcome to the forum.
I release the tension on a quilt when I finish quilting each time.  I also release the side clamps too.
Seasons greetings to you too and happy quilting.

Have you checked that the machine is threaded correctly and you have the correct needle size for the thread that you are using?  Also check the thread path for burrs.  Have you tried a different type of thread?  Have you been able to figure out where the break occurs?
APQS can troubleshoot over the phone if you aren't able to solve the problem.
Good luck and I hope that you are soon back to quilting.

I agree completely with what Jim said.
On this machine there is no room to quilt anything other than something just a few inches long.  The area of the quilt that has been quilted and rolled onto the back roller will very quickly fill up the throat of the machine.  It will be impossible to continue quilting.  This machine was not made to move over the fabric, but to have the fabric move under the foot.  I would imagine that it would be difficult to get good tension.
There are used longarms available for sale that would serve you well and save much frustration.  Look for a machine that was purpose built.
Good luck with you search.  I hope that you are able to find a machine that is within your budget and that you can enjoy.

I soak a small piece of batting in mineral oil and put it in the thread guide above the cone.  I haven't had a problem with staining.  Sharon Schamber dunks the entire cone of thread in mineral oil!

The couple that owned Circle Lord retired some years ago.  Someone bought out their remaining stock but I don't know the name of that person.  This link to their old site may answer your question.
    Enjoy your new machine.
