  1. Good for you Shana!!!I just want to know if you'd quilt one for me for $45???? Your quilting was beautiful on that quilt. I'm glad you don't have to deal with her anymore. (Also glad you had a nice evening with your hubby.)
  2. I agree this forum is addictive. I check it out in the am and pm. I don't know if there is another forum this good or not. I don't have any more time to see.:D:D This is the best!
  3. Thanks girls for all the wonderful advice. I can't lower my table because it is as low as it goes. I'm only 5 ft tall. I did get the hydralic lift so I guess I will try quilting on a stool. I'm a RN also with 30 + years also LeAnn and considered my heart as well. Someone on here had a tread on that and to be honest I considered that. We did rule that out and it seems to be just the quilting. I haven't had my Millie very long and it pretty much started after I got her. I'm going to try the Epsom Salt thing because I do have those "crunch knots" that Linzi talked about. Ferret, where do you get
  4. Simply precious!!! I'm down to just my rescued golden retriever. I don't think she ever could fit in anyones hand.:D:D She is quite fluffy. Thanks for sharing such a darling picture.
  5. What a great idea. Loved it. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Is this normal??? I've been quilting like a crazy person and now my back is hurting. I've had two back surgeries all ready but that was on my lower back. This is up high. Is it the quilting??? It's been hurting for almost 3 weeks. Any suggestions??
  7. Hey Julie, what is "gadget day". How far are you from Kansas City?? I might be interested in taking a road trip.
  8. Shana you are such a nice person. Perhaps too nice in this situation. There is no guarantee she will be satisfied with another attempt at quilting this quilt. I have to agree with the others in that I would rip it out and give it back to her. You don't need to explain anything to her. She is the one who is not satisfied. I think she needs to find someone else to redo it. I would just tell her that you thought you had done what she wanted and after 8 months she apparently changed her mind. You quilt beautifully, saw it first hand at MQS! Don't let this person bring you down to her level. It's
  9. What a GREAT quilt!!! Love the dragon. Does he have a name??? I also want your book. Let us know when we can order.
  10. WOW Ferret, what great news. I love your dragon! Congrates on the forward of your book. Get those pens ready! You're going to get writers cramp signing your book.
  11. OMG!!!! I wonder if I will EVER be able to do that. Gorgeous.
  12. I'm glad to hear it takes time. All I can say is I think I've gotten enough practice frogging!!! I am begining to think I'll never be able to do anything but swirls! I've got those down. I'm trying ruler work but not to good at that either. I have the Hartley Base but am thinking of getting something different. I can't remember what it's called but I saw something about one that actually attaches to the machine and it is round with a bevel edge that stops the clamps from catching. My Hartley is nice but I think I keep tipping it when I try to do ruler work. I have soooo much to learn!
  13. Wanda, so sorry to hear your son is expecting a child with Down's, however, this diagnosis can cover a wide range of symptoms. Thank heaven that there are a lot of resources out there. I hope their doctor has given them lots of info. Many "down's" kids live wonderful, happy lives. They definetly have very special spirits. There should be some support groups that can give them help on what to expect and also resourses for them. Sounds like this litttle guy is coming into a wonderful, loving family. That's what is most important. I wish all babies could come into this world loved as much as yo
  14. Yea!!!! So glad everything turned out ok. I thought about you all day Jeanne. You had a lot of people praying for you. What a heavy burden you had today. So sorry you had to go through this but in the end I know how relieved you must be. Have a great day!
  15. You will be in my thoughts and prayers today.
  16. Good to know Monika. I bought a package of 3.5 needles at MQS but have not tried them yet for the very reasons you mentioned. I guess I need to take a leap of faith! Thanks
  17. Wow Holly, thanks for the link. Unbelievable. It's amazing to me how beautiful an explosion can be and to see it from space. Mary Beth, you worry me sometimes with your volcano passion! I'm personally glad KC doesn't have one of those in our backyard!!!
  18. Sylvia, as far as I know there are no dumb questions! I love your quilting. I agree with Madelyn and Grammie Tammie!!! I long for the day I can quilt like that. Keep up the beautiful work!
  19. Wow Dory, what a beautiful picture. I can feel the serenity! I've had 2 back surgeries also so I know what you mean on getting back to something close to normal. You live in beautiful country. Do you get to ride often? How many horses do you have? I've always loved horses and use to ride frequently when I was young. I had a friend with horses where I grew up. I never was lucky enough to own one. My husband does Cowboy Action shooting and his friends ask if he does it on horseback. He says that Cowboy Action Shooting is a fantasy sport and having a 2000 lb horse is no fantasy! Anyway, I'll bet
  20. Happy Belated Birthday MB. Sounds like you had a great time. Remember it's not the years..it's the millage! Glad you had a wonderful BD. Sounds like your family treat ya right!
  21. Nice job on the cross hatching. I'm trying to learn how to do that also. I have done it on the quilt I just finished but I'm afraid I got my angle off somehow. I ended up ripping out a bunch and redoing some. Still not as nice as yours. I am using the new cross hatch rulers from Quilters Rule. I think they work great. It's the operator that has issues! I also have to fiqure out how to post pictures. I am not the most computer literate person. Oh well, learn one thing at a time!
  22. Monika, what a darling quilt! How could she be anything but thrilled. Good job!
