Are you still looking for the front stylus system?

Actually, I just sold all of the accessories for the machine, so all I have left is the machine. The person who purchased is on this forum, so I will send her a message. She already has the up front system so she is willing to sell. I will send her a text and have her get in touch.

  2. Hi Bill,

No, I have not sold my machine. I really want to sell everything together, because I don't want to mess with shipping everything individually. It is a good price, I think, for everything, but would be a little much for just the mI achine only. With everything included one could start a home based business. I will probably break it up an sell each piece.

  3. 2009 APQS Freedom, aka Freddie, is for sale.  If you are local to Kansas City, MO, I would be happy to deliver, set it up, and give you lessons. This machine has glide and is on the newer bliss table. It does not have the quilt advance feature. Included are 100 machine needles, aluminum bobbins, turbo bobbin winder, prewound bobbins, extra pigtails, extra bobbin case. Cash, no payments. I purchased this machine as a factory certified used machine almost 5 years ago. I have quilted about 10 quilts. I have never had to make any adjustments, the stitches are beautiful. $8000.00

  4. Just dropped in to say 'hey'. I am on FB, but I loved the original forum, or I guess it was original...it was the forum in and around 2004 or so. We had so much fun back then. There were some quacks here and there....what was the guy's name Shana who got mad when you told that hysterical joke about your car breaking down or running into another car....anyway it had to do with the guy in the other car being a midget. It was a very funny joke, but he took offense and sent me some terrible personal messages....the only time I thought Rod was going to visit a quilter besides me, lol. I forget to visit this forum.

    Robin,

Mary Beth's FB group is a great one to join.  There's lots of eye candy to look at and of course Mary Beth's wonderful personality.

You are so kind!! Yes, you are welcome to my page. I tell everyone, every now and then, "remember we are a no politics zone". I should say no drama too...but so far so good, lol. We are planning a retreat this summer in June. It will be in Nebraska. As a matter of fact, all of the participants are form the APQS chat over the years. Should be fun....and the good news is we have one opening left. If you are interested, PM me, I will tell you all about it.

  6. Well, as you know I have a FB page, Quilting with Mary Beth. I like FB, but I think I liked the forum when we all use to be here. No offense to anyone here now, it  just use to be hopping, it is very quiet in comparison. Some of the FB pages make me crazy and I leave them because of it. I hate it when the "leader" of the page releases a BOM and 40,000 people ask when will it start? where can I find the patterns? am I too late?  Or if someone asks a question or needs help, 73 people post the same answer. No one reads the posts. It is like a feeding frenzy. That being said, it is nice that there is a broader audience. You see more quilters work, etc. The one thing the really makes me mad on FB is to have the dealer of a particular LA company disrespect quilters with another brand. Such bad taste. The two quilters that did this are way up on the food chain. If I had just been here on the forum, I would have never read what they said....and would have continued to buy their products. When that happened I deleted them from my FB friends list.

Oh Mary Beth, I can so relate to this. I was tutored almost every night in my junior year in high school to get me through my algebra course - that was the last course in math I had to have! When I was in college and took an accounting course, I barely passed my final exam because not one of my columns on the 10 column worksheet balanced. All my numbers were in the proper spot but I couldn't add up all the numbers - remember this was long before adding machines/calculators were allowed in the classroom. I didn't have enough time (or fingers) to do the math.

About 15-20 years ago my husband's office was looking for someone to do some accounting work and my sister-in-law asked if I wanted to work part-time for them. I asked my husband what he told her - he said that by the time he stopped laughing, she had left for the day! I was never asked to work for them. I can do simple math, but don't ask me anything complicated. Thank goodness for calculators!

Actually, quilting has helped me slightly with my math skills. You do need to be able to do some simple math to figure out some patterns.

Yay!!! I am not the only one. Fractions freak me out. I have that quilters calculator and I have started using it a lot. I struggled through 12 years of school. Math is not my friend. It is terrible when even the tutor is at a loss.

  8. I am so happy there are math lovers out there, that is what makes the world go around. I will tell you a secret, wine tastes worse than Nyquil. I am not like other people. I can follow directions on a pattern. I can cut out patterns. I can piece. I can even come up with my own patterns. However, I tried to take math in college and had to hire a tutor. One night after a "groundhog" type day with my tutor, where she would help me through a problem...I seem to get it...then the next problem looked totally foreign. She looked at me and asked, "Who did this to you?" When I say I cannot do math.....please believe me....I cannot do math. I can cook, measure, even double a recipe. But don't give me anything harder than addition and subtraction.

  9. I am in Kansas City where tornados and thunderstorms are an everyday thing in the spring. I just bought the best surge protector I could find. I still unplug when there are storms or I am going out of town, just because I don't want to take any chances.

  10. I am a huge Circle Lord fan. Here is there website http://circlelordindex.blogspot.com/  There is a stylus for both systems, but I don't know if the boards are interchangeable. I just always stuck with CL.

    I don't know anything about R&S

If I were you, I would call Michael and Kay at  1-519-763-3697 and just talk with them. Sorry my font changed size. Michael and Kay are very nice, will not be pushy and will be very helpful answering any questions you may have.
