Mercedes got a reaction from Gator in Dust cover for Apqs Milly ?
I use a car cover to cover my Millie and it works great.  They're plenty big and cover the whole machine and mine packs up in the little case that is attached to the cover.

Jim:   It's very hard to know what I want because I've never used a computerized system so don't really understand all they can do or can't do for me.  I do know I want the "no sew" option because I do a lot of embroidered blocks and want to be able to quilt around the embroidery in the block and the ability to adjust the pattern in side the block (even for wonky blocks).
It's good advice to try and decided how I want the system to help me however I don't do well with imagining what I might want because I don't know what I don't know - that really sound funny doesn't it.     Hmmmm, the one task I really want the computer to do for me is "load the quilt on the frame" - too bad it can't do that!
I appreciate the input and will continue to work on a list and see where that takes me.....Mercedes

I use a car cover and it works great.  Covers not only Millie but the full table.  Keeps the dust off everything.   When not in use, the cover has a built in bag so you just stuff it in the attached back, zip it up and easy storage.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't use long vertices when basting however I assume it's because if you do many of these down the quilt, it will "move" the quilt in that direction(?)
Maybe ffq-lar can chime in on this one.

Mercedes got a reaction from Neher-in-law5 in Ink on Quilt
I  tried the hairspray first using a Q-tip and that got part of the ink out, then I went to the rubbing alcohol - that did it!   All the ink came out, it's been washed.  Thanks to everyone for the tips!

Mercedes got a reaction from LinneaMarie in stinking loops of top thread on back...again
See below for a thread from Dawn on loops on the back....

Check the thread path to be sure that the thread isn't escaping the tension disks occasionally. Put a small piece of batting (wadding) in the first thread guide directly above the cone.Your thread should be "trapped" between the thread guide and the batting. This trick helps to prevent the thread from jumping out of the tension disks unexpectedly and then snapping itself back in when the thread gets taut again. The second thing that causes loops is a scratch or burr on the hook assembly. That little burr grabs your top thread and carries it around the bobbin twice (and sometimes more), which makes a double-size loop on the back. Take a look at your hook assembly with a magnifying glass to see if you can find any scratch or burr. If you find one, smooth it out with very fine sandpaper or emery cloth.  The third thing that can cause random loops is the location of the hook finger. The top thread must sneak through the opening between the hook finger and the bobbin basket with every stitch. If that relationship is too close, then occasionally the top thread gets pinched for just a moment (or it breaks) and the extra long loop forms.

I really liked the video.  I'm wondering if there's some type of padding on the metal parts that touch the machine when you attach the Pantograph system so it doesn't scratch the machine head all up.   Thanks!

Mercedes got a reaction from dbams in Quilting around machine embroidered center block
It's done and turned out wonderful.  I stitched around the number 12 and did the swirls up to the numbers and jumped over them - had to bury threads around the numbers.   I also liked the idea of using the invisible thread and may try that on the next one.   I'm making three of these with a different embroidered center block.   Thanks everyone!   I'll try to post a picture a little later as I'm trying to finish the second quilt by Sunday morning to give to a friend.  I'm just starting to piece it so lots of work left.
