Mercedes got a reaction from Beachside Quilter in Question about Egyptian Eye Board from someone who has used it
What great service, Michael called me and walked me through the process of using the boards answering all my questions.  As a Newbie I didn't realize that when you're working from the back the top of your quilt should be on the furthest roller from you.  I loaded my quilt as I would normally from the front - newbie mistake!

I also found out that all this this time my machine only had 12 inches of sewing space because there was a bumper put on the right rail at 6 inches in from the end.  It stopped the machine from using all available sewing space.  There is no screw hole at the 1" mark on the rail that would be normal for all Millies - not sure how this came about but without Michael calling me, I would have never known.  I've taken the bumper at the 6 inch mark off and I'll need to either drill a hole at the 1 inch mark and put a bumper in or something to stop the machine at that point.

Thank you Michael for all you help!

This is the first time I have used Circlelord boards and I'm happy with the results.  This is the Seattle Seahawks Quilt (football) that I made for my son.  I promised him it would be finished by Sunday's game and it is.  I even added a sleeve on the back for hanging and signed it. It's the "Go Hawks" Quilt.

Mercedes got a reaction from Marta in New Pantograph Tool ---- Makes doing pantographs or picture images a breeze!
I really liked the video.  I'm wondering if there's some type of padding on the metal parts that touch the machine when you attach the Pantograph system so it doesn't scratch the machine head all up.   Thanks!

It wasn't the L-shaped handle - it was the allen screw that snugs the sprocket down onto the take-up lever - it was loose and after I tighter it - all works well!   Thankyou for this easy fix!   I'm back in business!

I love the idea of using the painters tape on the leveler bar -  I have a quilt on my machine now that I'm going to use this technique.  Thanks for the tip!

Mercedes got a reaction from Gail O in NQR, but I know a few of you will identify with me
Years ago my husband was going to help me out by cleaning the oven.  At this time we didn't have a self cleaning oven so he had to do it manually.   When he was done, he decided the inside of the oven didn't look shiny enough so proceeded to wax the entire inside of the oven with Turtle Wax - you know, the kind you use to wax your cars.  When I came home from work, he couldn't wait to show me how clean and shiny my oven was.  What could I say, he did it to try and help me.   Needles to say, later I re-cleaned the oven as I wasn't sure how toxic car wax would be if the oven was heated up.   This is one of the memories I have cherished.

Mercedes got a reaction from LisaC in Superior Rainbow Thread and needle size, tension
I got it to work.  I set everything on my machine back to "the normal" - bobbin case, top thread tension, everything.  Then I put the thread through the guide with the three holes - only I went through the first and last hole only, leaving the middle hole empty. Did a test run straight stitching and it stitched fine, second test was some feathers - again, it did just fine.   I don't exactly know why this worked but it did.  I'm running Rainbow in both top and bottom successfully - I just hope it continues throughout the quilt.  I probably won't buy this thread again as it seems fussy.  This is the only spool I have so once I get this quilt done, no more.  The recommendation on threading the guide in this easy was in one of the forums old  topics once I did the query.

    Thanks!
