  1. Thanks for the replies - I really don't know how I put the bobbin case in so it got stuck (??) but I did try the flywheel and it all seems normal, so I'll give it another try. I think I somehow jammed it in there wrong (like I said, tired at the end of a bad day at work) and the only damage was to the bobbin case itself. I'll be back if there's problems . . . take care - thanks again. Bev
  2. This is what I get for playing around late at night when I'm tired, and should be going to bed. Last night I put the bobbin case in, but somehow it got stuck - I didn't want to pull at it too much but my husband (bless his heart) wanted to help and pulled it out, but also broke that little latch/lever piece. I want to put in another bobbin case, but does anyone think I may have damaged more than that? I didn't break any needles, or even try to sew after it got stuck, but what do you think? It was just the end of a really, really bad day - should have known!
  3. Hey, Charmaine and GrandmaHello - I'd love to be able to get together and share "Lenni" stories - Grandma - if you bought your maching after Quilt Canada - that was mine that you demo'd on - don't you just love it? I live about an hour north west of Calgary - haven't done my beginner class yet - maybe we should all do that together - either of you got plans for when you are going to do the class? By the way, I just took my first real quilt off my Lenni - just meandering, but how cool! I am ready for more, more, more! Take Care - Bev

  5. Nancy - I don't thing there was any technical magic to get the height right - we just went with what ever felt good. So far, it's seems fine - but mind you, I've only been practicing and not standing for hours at a time. Maybe Matt would have some more wisdom - Matt??? what do you think? Bev
  6. Hey, Charmaine - congratulations! I think my Lenni really showed herself well at Quilt Canada! When are you taking your 6 hr class? Maybe we could meet up - I'd love to connect with another Lenni owner in Calgary.
  7. Well, my Lenni is all set up and in her new home thanks to Matt and his lovely wife. I think Lenni did very well at Quilt Canada - I was kind of proud I just love it, and am so happy with my decision to buy. Now I just need to practice, practice, practice until I'm a bit more comfortable. Any little hints would sure be appreciated, although, it is so easy to use!!!
  8. Again, thanks for the warm welcome ladies . . . and gentlemen!!! I'm looking forward to making lots of online friends! My Lenni is going to have such a great home . . . and with such a great extended family, how can it be better!! Take care everyone . . . Matt . . . I'm thinking you have a fan club - lol
  9. Thanks everyone, I know I'm going to be so happy . . . and in awe of all the beautiful work done by this Long Arm Quilters group - you are truly an inspiration. I have a LOT to learn, but am heading in the right direction . . . I'll keep you posted. Bev
  10. Thanks, Darlene. Here's the link to Quilt Canada - it's closer to the end of the month. Bev http://www.canadianquilter.com/events/quilt-canada-2010.php
  11. I'm so excitied - I had to tell someone and who better than Lenni owners! I just ordered my new Lenni!!! I've been looking for a while, and this opportunity just presented itself this weekend. For any of you who live in/near Calgary, Alberta, Canada - MY LENNI will be the display machine at the APQS booth at Quilt Canada - I know she will do me proud. Anyway, I won't have her in my home for another few weeks, but after that, I may have lots of questions for you experts! I feel like an expectant parent! I'm very confident that my APQS rep Matt (manquilter) will be a great support. Bev
  12. I purchased a 17 yr old EZQ a few months ago - and I just can't get the proper tension. I'll go for a bit just fine, but then I get huge birds nest tangles on the bottom - and the top thread breaks. The machine came with a video, which very clearly talks about tension - and both my hubby and I have tested, and tested . . . but still no luck. I have yet to get a quilt on the frame as I don't want to ruin the quilt top. Any suggestions? ..... hanging by one loose thread!! Bev
  13. Is it possible to get a stitch regulator for an 17 yr old EZQ?
