Thanks Holly for the input. Every one that has reported back to me loves the Organ needles. They are all we use in our studio. John -
needle holes in quilt
John Mitchell replied to simplydivine's topic in Ask The Expert - Stitching & Pantographs
We carry the MR needles. If you want a smaller hole consider the Organ needle that are much like the MR's but without the big hump on the front. We only use Organ needles in our studio now. For pricing see this Forum post http://apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=20123&page=1#pid244835 John -

Skip stitches.....John Mitchel ?
John Mitchell replied to TishMarshall's topic in Tension Troubleshooting
Tish: You asked this question in another post and here was my reply. Tish: Since you asked here goes. The first thing you need to check is to see if you have needle holes in the skipped area. If not you are having long stitches and not skipped stitches and you need to check your encoder wheels. Move your machine only in a horizontal direction then in a vertical direction and see if the skip is in one direction. If so check the encoder wheel on that encoder. Your post makes me think it is an encoder issue. It does not sound like skipped stitches. Let me know and then we will work -

micro drive handles for Liberty
John Mitchell replied to ellsan's topic in Gone Quilting...Chat About Anything
We also have them in stock for immediate delivery. The Liberty handles are different than the one for the Millie. John -
Titanium needles are titanium coated. The issue that Amy what talking about is when you break one of these needles they usually break up on the shaft and jam the machine seriously and the chance of knocking it out of time is great. I have just received a lot of needle information on needles from one of my needle suppliers and it is quite interesting. It has a chart showing needles that are similar and why. We have switched to the Organ needles with the deep scarf and I have sold a lot of them and all the reports I have received have been positive. John John

Hydrolic legs for sale
John Mitchell replied to Jellybean's topic in For Sale - Used Quilting Machines
After thinking a while the lift came out after the table with round legs. You have to use some modifications to install it on a table with square legs. There are two versions of the lift. Congratulations on a great buy. John -

Hydrolic legs for sale
John Mitchell replied to Jellybean's topic in For Sale - Used Quilting Machines
I would use the mounting that comes with the system. The new system is different (Pump and mounting). The older system uses 4 u shaped aluminum pieces that attach to bottom of the rails and attached to the cross members. The new system uses different cross members and screws, washers and drilled and tapped blocks. I don’t think they are interchangeable because the system has been changes. The original system is fine and we have 1 of each in our studio. This price is a steal. If someone wants one you will not find a better price. John -
Happy Birthday John Mitchell

Hydrolic legs for sale
John Mitchell replied to Jellybean's topic in For Sale - Used Quilting Machines
The lift requires a mounting adapter not just the u clamps. They might be included with the hydraulics system. You just need to be sure they are included. If they are only 4 years old they should be for the round leg table and have all necessary hardware but the pump uses a different mounting system. The old mounting is perfectly serviceable but the new mounting is easier to install. Kristina you can call me for a better explanation if you like. John -
