  1. Thank you for all the nice comments. I did forget to mention that I double batted with dream wool behind the applique part only. I like to do this so I don't get the extra bulk in the rest of the quilt. I love the way it added dimension to the center.
  2. I love everything about this. The color scheme, the pattern and naturally the quilting.
  3. When one of my friends saw the post of the first Beverly's Bouquet quilt, she loved it so much she ordered the pattern. It really was challenging for her, but she's done a terrific job with it. 4. August 2006. If you google the title I think you can find the pattern online, too. A big thank you to everyone for the nice comments.
  5. I really like the wavy pattern on this quilt.
  6. I love all the suggestions you've been giving and have some of those books. DeLoa Jones book is great for the longarm feathers. I love Darlene Epp's feather workbook for the formal feathers. So many different ways to use them, but I don't think she's selling anymore. If you use FB and post on Quilters Classified or Longarm Accessories and ask if anyone has used books they'd like to sell, you can always buy more books. LOL
  7. The Bedford Historical Society asked our guild to make them a raffle quilt for 2017. I've always wanted to make this quilt since I saw it in McCalls Quilting Magazine a number of years ago. I used Hobbs 80/20 batting, So Fine on top and Bottom Line in the bobbin. I added an extra row to the top and side of the pattern so it would be queen size. It won 2 First Place Awards, a Second Place and best longarm machine quilting in 3 different area quilt shows. Only one judge said she saw shadowing. I did try to press seams open, but it was easier to sew nine patches ironing to one side. How do you try to prevent shadowing? 8. Congratulations on your teaching career! Your work is aweswome and I'm glad to see that it's appreciated. Yes, I had a tomato pin cushion, but I'd rather have your version.
  9. It looks beautiful! You're really learning how to use that computer.
  10. Congratulations! Thanks for posting the quilts. It's nice to see them.
  11. Even though I've known Rita was in a lot of pain and not feeling well for years, I was hoping that she'd get better. Yet it gives me comfort to know that we made her last days a little more special with our cards, thoughts and prayers, and the comfort quilt. She had a wonderful sense of humor. I loved reading her posts, especially about Himself, and her emails. May her memory be eternal.
  12. That happened to me when I bought the bliss system. Email Dawn Cavanaugh and she will send you a picture showing you what to tighten. It's an easy fix.
  13. I sew most of my bindings by machine as there's just not enough time to hand sew them all done. Actually I would never have noticed it if you hadn't mentioned it because it looks so perfect! Love your labels.
  14. Kathy, I can tell you love your Lenni. Your work is just stunning!
  15. I love the quilt pattern and the colors. The quilting just adds to the beauty of it.
  16. I really like this quilt. Your quilting is perfect for it!
  17. Your work is always stunning, Heidi. I love a feather border with tiny stitching around it. It just makes that feather pop! The quilting division around the center is just perfect. Thanks for all the help you've given me over the years, too.
  18. I'm sure you're missing your friend. Her memory will be eternal with her beautiful work around. I love the way you quilted this, especially the designs around the applique in the border and then that tiny tiny crosshatching. Just stunning!
  19. Beautiful quilt pattern and pantograph. That all over design looks perfect for the quilt and the circles look so round. You're going to rock Lucey!
