Thank you for all the photos.  It looks like a real organized, functional space.  Really liked your ironing surface

Congrats, studio looks great.  My ironing board is only 82 inches long, I made it out of a door we removed from the house.. Now I just need to get a longer frame for "Gator:.

So I have been very busy lately. If you follow me on FB or IG you will know the following. We moved both our stores together to one new location! We started Dec. 26 and opened Jan. 6, one week ahead of our self imposed opening day. We are very tired but it is a good tired!
As you may remember my Longarm was in our classroom. Now I have my own space!!!!!! I am thrilled with my new space! Not only that we added Quilt Path to my 2009 Millennium and added a new Milli!!! I have a new assistant, Sabrina, who introduced herself here earlier today with the handle Fried Green Tomatoes. Sabrina will be helping me with all sorts of things as well as running Quilt Path. She is young, and catches on to computer stuff very fast.

Congratulations on the new store.  I hope that I can get up that way one day to check it out, and absorb your wealth of knowledge while I am there.  Best of luck until then, and keep sharing your eye candy.

Used 80/20 batting with Metro and Glide threads.  Thanks for looking. I think these two girl are going to be very happy!!!

RoseCity Quilter reacted to ffq-lar in Pokies with wool batting after washing?
I would discount anything your customer "heard" since if this was a regular problem it would be all over every quilting blog, website, and quilter's Facebook. The quilting world is huge, but the communication is instant and widespread because of the internet.

I have several small pieces with wool batting, but they are seldom washed and done carefully when they are.

I've never heard of it nor have I had any customer issues with wool batting. As far as the wool coming through the stitching holes after washing, I imagine that I'd be more concerned about felting rather than bearding when a quilt with wool gets frequent washing.
Just my two cents and worth about that much!

RoseCity Quilter reacted to T Row Studio in Baseball quilt
Just finished making a baseball quilt for my daughter. She is hosting a ball reunion this fall so I made a baseball quilt to raffle off to off set some costs. This was a fun project that I did mostly on the long arm sashed a plain fabric and marked the stitching line with a frixion pen then put on my Maxine my Millie and applied the chenille strips now for the secret to fluffing it up.......Take your shop vac and vacuumed the strip roughing I up with the end of nozzle and it looks amazing. Going to show my daughter tonight
