  1. I have decided to upgrade my machine and am offering for sale my 2016 George. This machine is almost a new machine because I have only used him on practice quilt sandwiches. When I purchased George, I ordered the larger size "M" bobbin case, the black light circuit board and the interchangeable foot kit. The table is the standard 5' table. I am also including the following: homemade suspension system Deluxe bobbin winder for "M" bobbins several jars of colored magnetic bobbins - size M the new interchangeable ruler foot with case needles/extra bobbins ja

  3. We came down to our daughter's house in Melbourne today to help her clean up and had to bring her some eggs as the grocery supply is still limited to non-existent. I heard on our local news about the couple who held the suspect at gun point. I'm sure it was pretty scary for awhile. We took I75/Florida Turnpike/I95 to her house and the tolls are still suspended. The traffic wasn't near as bad as I thought. I was thinking everyone would be going south to go home. I'm keeping my eye on (and fingers crossed) at Lee. Hopefully he will fizzle out or go back into the ocean.
  4. Cagey: I thought of you often during Irma and was hoping you made it though her. I was also concerned about The Quilting Place in Rockledge. I rec'd an e-mail today indicating they were now open. Yay!!
  5. In addition to this forum (which is absolutely the best!) I have joined a Facebook group called "Sit Down Free Motion Quilters". That group is great too. Although it is not specific to George, but rather all brands of sit down machines, it offers lots of ideas, help and pictures. They even have challenges periodically. You have to request to join, but it is well worth looking into.
  6. We survived Irma with no house damage and minor tree damage. Irma appeared to dissipate when she went over Marion County (Ocala is where I live and it is in Marion County). We were so very fortunate. I also live close to I-75. I can see the interstate at the entrance of our community. I-75 was crazy for a week before Irma and I suspect it will be crazy busy when everyone returns. My daughter lives in Melbourne and she evacuated with her three kids to our house about a week before Irma hit. Her husband is in the Air Force and deployed to Korea so he missed the fun entirely. Her damage c
  7. For all of the George users: Have you used the quilting rulers (templates) from Parrs or Westalee? I don't want to order anything until I know they work on the George. I have the True 1/2" ruler foot, but I didn't know if the 3mm rulers would work. TIA
  8. David: On the home page, under sub directory "Shopping Tools", it is under the column "Giveaway."
  9. Pretty funny, Mary Beth; but an incentive to get to the end! Love the idea.
  10. Hello, all: I just got George set up in my house and have cut several practice sandwiches. I would like to get input as to your preferred method of holding the sandwich together. I thought about the spray basting, but after researching this, it appears that maybe the spray eventually gums up the needle and I don't want to do something to mess up George. I don't like the idea of pin basting; especially when I start to quilt larger quilts. I'm thinking it would be time consuming and would slow down the quilting process (quilt a bit, take out a pin; quilt a bit, take out a pin). I have view
  11. Congrats Heidi. They are absolutely beautiful. Your entire family will be in my prayers for comfort and healing. I know my loving Father will heal Landon and comfort your daughter. God Bless......
  12. I'm not sure how to edit my original post, so I am responding this way. Lucey has been sold and the Accuquilts have been sold. The only thing left is my Melco embroidery machine and accessories. Does anyone know of a good website that sells used embroidery equipment? Thanks.... Delores
  13. I getting ready to retire and am ready to sell all of my sewing equipment and supplies. I thought I would quilt more while retired, but our plans have changed and will be moving out of state. Therefore, listed below are a listing of the major equipment I have for sale. Please let me know if you have any questions. I would greatly appreciate it if you would pass this information on to anyone that may be interested. I want to sell each category together instead of piecing it out. If you need something, please ask -- I probably have it as I am the gadget queen and seem to "need" everything
  14. Awesome. Husband said it looked good except it was missing the four car garage (1 stall for the car and the other three stalls for his workshop)! LOL
