kloar got a reaction from tfor1 in Quilt Path Upgrade Worse than Before
Has anyone upgraded to 3.05.05 and had more trouble than with the previous version? (I had all the problems previously discussed in earlier versions) I upgraded today both the software (and the firmware that it said was highly recommended). Now when sewing a pantograph row, it just randomly stops. I can't release the carriage and have to turn everything off, reboot and start over. It may or may not stop in the same place across the row. It happens when tracing too. I also have gotten the USB connection is lost- check the cables/power. Everything is plugged in and nothing is loose. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any advice or know how to solve this? Thanks in advance.

I wanted to let everyone know about a great site I found for digital patterns. I don't recall or maybe I missed seeing this one mentioned before. Since I only got Quilt Path the end of November, it's too fun shopping for digital patterns. I've shopped on all the sites I saw in the forum. I ran across this and really liked the patterns- they sew out great. I've bought several as one can never have too many patterns- LOL. Check out www.mycreativestitches.net. Each month they have new $5 pantos which is a great way for me to build up my files. I signed up for the newsletter and they have had some good sales. Just thought I would let you know. I'm having too much fun replacing my paper pantos which I intend to sell in the next month or so. And I will probably sell most of my CL boards too.

Thanks for the info, I am still using the paper pantos and CL boards - you know the old fashioned way….  But it does look like a good website!

Funny that this subject came up today. I'm just about to call a customer and tell her no. Long story short, she contacted me 1 1/2 years ago and says she makes 75 T-shirts quilts a year. Would I be interested? Yes, of course. Although not my favorite, she only wanted meandering. Made the appointment- she never shows- waited 2 hours for her- called the phone number she gave me - it was disconnected. Then 6-8 mos. ago, she calls again, makes an appt. and doesn't show up (didn't wait for her this time). But she thought maybe she'd buy her own longarm so she could do all of them herself. Today she leaves a message and wants me to fit in two T-shirt quilts before Christmas. She's pretty sure I can do that since they are so simple. Are you serious? Sorry! uh.... no way.

I have put in 3-4 color catchers if I think or know something is going to bleed. I have troubles with reds running.

I'm so excited. My quilt is a finalist in the People's Place Museum/Old Country Store Fabric shop in Intercourse, PA. Online voting is now taking place. If you would be so kind as to take a minute to vote for my quilt, I would be very appreciative. The contest required the use of Kansas Troubles fabric and I choose an embroidered crazy quilt pattern. One of my dear friends, Connie, passed away a few years ago but she had a passion for embroidered quilts so I dedicated this one to her. It is called "In the Tradition".
Thank you in advance for any votes!

    Hi Georgene!

I have not had many issues with Quilt Path and I have done over 100 quilts with it since I installed it in June.   I do try to remember to always save what I am doing, so that if there is an issue I can easily get back to where I need to continue from.  I have never had an issue where I have not been able to it at all.

I think my worst fear when I got Quilt Path was what I would do if I lost power half way through a quilt.  After 5 months that does not worry me at all.  The first time something happened it was extremely stressful.  If that same think happened today, it would not faze me at all.

I have never really used Pantos or boards so I do not use those as a backup.   I still do freehand quilt, but I would say that about 75% of my quilts are now done on Quilt Path.

You can save quilts to use multiple times.  I have done about 15 of last years Micheal Miller quilts, and have reused a couple designs that I set up on several different quilts.  It makes it easy when someone see a friends and tell you they want their quilt the same.

I have been blogging about Quilt Path for the last 5 months and will continue to do so.  I am completely in love with my Quilt Path!  I am in Raleigh, so not that far from you.  Not sure if you have actually gotten to play with Quilt Path.  You are welcome to come by and play with mine, if you are in area.
