Can you 're-iron" and pull it off while it's hot?  Try ironing another piece of fabric on to it and use it to pull off the residue.  I would go very slow and easy or you might have a bigger mess.  Good luck.  Let us know what ensues.

Posting here for those not part of the facebook group.
Not a really great picture - but it's finally done and gifted to my son for his move-in at school next month.
Applique center pattern "Majesty" by Gina Reddin Designs, borders are created with 'curved braid' by Victoria Findlay Wolfe.
Quilted on my Lenni with SoFine and Aurifil threads, Quilters Dream Wool Batting. All hand-guided - freehand faux McTavishing and some rulers.
I've been pantograph quilting for almost 5 years and only started FMQ this year.
This project stretched me in a LOT of ways - especially as it was for my youngest child as he leaves (1,000+miles) for college!

Just off my quilt frame this week, "Surf Song" bargello.  From the book Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts by Eileen Wright.  Needed a king size quilt for my bed and instead of adding borders to make a king sized "Surf Song" I kept building the bargello to the edges.  I quilted it with IQ and the panto Ripples by Lorien Quilting.  I will make coordinating batik pillowcases and of course still need to bind the beast!!

Thank you, Connie, for starting this discussion!  I, too, prefer the Forum to FB.  Unfortunately, there are a lot of Forum members who seem to have switched to the "We Love APQS" FB page, because I see them posting there, but not here.  I do think that because this topic was posted here, the response will be skewed towards the Forum over FB, simply because the FB users won't see it.
Mary Beth, I know exactly what you mean about being doubtful of the quality of answers on FB, or a bunch of people posting the same answer because they can't be bothered to read the previous responses.  Definitely have to take some advice with a hefty grain of salt.
It definitely feels like the posts to this Forum have become more about selling machines (mostly non-APQS) than about quilting.  I know I have been "guilty" of not posting pictures, etc. here (or to FB!), but maybe if we all make a bit more effort to post here, the Forum will be revitalized.

Look what I got to quilt!  It's a pink themed Halloween quilt, to display at our local hospital during the month of October.  Pink because it's breast cancer awareness month.  The Jackson Hole Quilt Guild rotates a quilt display every month at our local hospital.  The nurses and patients really appreciate it.  We've had a hard time in years past trying to find a pink quilt for the October display.  So we had the bright idea to make a quilt just for that.  Different people made the applique blocks, others sewed them together with sashing and border.  I quilted it, and just handed it off to another member to attach the binding.  A terrific collaboration.
Last May I took a few classes from Judi Madsen in Salt Lake City.  I just LOVE her work.  So, you will see that she inspired this quilting.
The bat bra block is the one that really got me started with the quilt designs.  The lady who made it drew a spider in a web on the cleavage, so clever and so easy to quilt that design!
Judi had just posted an applique quilt that she'd finished that had bugs in it.  She gave the bugs motion by quilting a swirly design under them.  I thought the ghosts need that swirly design too.  Remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?!
I used a wool batting, glide thread with magna glide bobbins.  Love those magna glide bobbins!  Angela Huffman is a great source for them and her delivery is super fast.
    Thanks for looking!

This is the quilt I made for my first granddaughter's graduation from the book Bella Bella quilts.  It is my version of NON-paper pieced paper piecing.  My mind just doesn't work backwards, so I break the pattern down into units and then connect them into the wedge segments.  I had my husband cut out plexi template rulers to trim the units.  I started this after Easter and it went together pretty quickly.  SID the borders and the outside of the Xs.  Feathers in the upper purple/teal sections and loops in the bottom ones.  The star is from a shirt from each grandpa, the dark from the other grandpa who has been gone a couple years now, the light from one swiped from my husband.  The label is inserted into the western snap pocket from the dark shirt with a ribbon and kite from hubby's shirt.

I finished my Petit Fours quilt last night! I'm very pleased with how it turned out. It's a layer cake/jelly roll pattern from Hummingbird Highway.  I tried a new binding technique that was shown at our last quilt guild meeting and just LOVE the effect it has on the quilt. It's a flange binding which gives it the piping detail look. Very easy to do and I think it gives this quilt a 'Tuxedo' look to it.

I've had my Liberty 9 years and I've replaced them three times.  The first time I changed them was because they were stretched,  Then I ordered some canvases that had been printed with a one inch grid and other markings.  I thought I would love them.  I did not.  That was also my phase of "zippers".  Didn't like those either.  Then I decided I wanted some pretty canvas.  Nope that was kind of stupid.  So now I'm back to my natural colored canvases and I seem to be content with them.  It's not hard to change them and the canvas is cheap enough.  The hardest thing is the first time and fear of messing them up.  I think how often you would need to change them would depend on how many quilts you do.  I quilt in spurts and only for myself and I let my friends quilt on my machine and I figure about every 3 - 5 years at least.

I need advice.  I got my Lenni in 2010, at that time I didn't know anything about having a longarm.  I really stretched the canvases, really pushed my skills at keeping things square. I went to floating my tops just so I didn't have to use the horribly stretched canvas (thank god for all the you tube videos). I am replacing them today (they got stained in the move) and want advice on what everyone does to keep them in great shape.  TIA

This small quilt is a gift for a new mom to be's baby shower next weekend. I've known this lady for about 25 years since she was about 12. It took her a long time to meet Mr Right and now they are expecting their first - a little boy. This pattern is a MSQC and is in the tutorials. 2 charm packs used with poly blend batt and glide threads.

This is the other Koala cabinet. Try to see past the mess. I'm working on a quilt so I don't want to move stuff. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. LOL.
You can see the peg board in this pic too.

This is a close up of the Studio Cutter cabinet. It doesn't match the koala cabinets, but it is well made and is PERFECT for all the AccuQuilt stuff. I found it cheaper than the AccuQuilt site and free shipping and NO tax! The price was great!

I love these bags and yours is beautiful.  Your daughter will absolutely love it.  I guarantee it.  I just bought more fabric on Wednesday to make another one.  I'm going to teach a friend how to make one and I figured I might as well make another one at the same time and gift it to another friend.

Oma reacted to I dew quilting in candle wicking baby quilt
I quilted this baby quilt for a customer.  Didn't know what to quilt at first.  I wanted to framed the candle wicking since there was no sashing separating the blocks. Then a secondary patterned showed up and I just had to add feathers.  I wanted to add background fill and smaller stippling but I didn't want to make it stiff since it is a baby quilt.
