  8. I always press open and take a bigger seam too at least 1/2 inch....it all makes for a more stable seam and also reduces bulk....
  9. My customer requested 'simple diagonal straight lines' and feathered wreaths. unfortunately there is nothing simple about straight diagonal lines on a longarm. This was the perfect opportunity for long crosshatching rulers. You can find the rulers here at http://topperquilttools.com/ from our very own Linda and Dennis Rech who provide a wonderful service. The rulers proved to be exactly what I needed..... You can find photos on my blog http://borderlinequilter.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/diagonal-lines.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/goldringading/10748226576/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/goldringading/10748158685/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/goldringading/10748223126/in/photostream/ Sorry flickr isn't playing nicely tonight????
  10. What a fabulous photo and get together it was. Thank you Linda for your organisational skills. The restaurant was so easy to get to for Maryna (my room mate) and I. Unfortunately by the time we had eaten our meal many of you were leaving and I didn't get to chat to you all personally. It was such a great trip for lots of reasons too many to mention. I am now home again as of yesterday, (Wed), but still running on Portland time....was awake at 3.30am again this morning so got up at 4am to start getting organised again.... So, for those of you I did meet, it was great to finally put real faces to names and for those I missed maybe next time, here is hoping that won't be too far in the future????
