I just finished this rainbow schemed Dear Jane for my friend...Jane!  She goes by Rusty to those that know her but I did have a little giggle over "Jane's Dear Jane".

This took me about three weeks, a week over what I'd budgeted for it.  I used Glide thread for the entire quilt - quilting in the blocks is simple but I did really try to keep with the theme and "geometry" of the quilt.

This is so stunning!   The quilting really makes the appliqué pop.

I'm really enjoying my new addition.   She is a beauty!   I have been having fun playing with her, and even managed to repair a well loved quilt for my oldest daughter.    My first quilts were matching toddler quilts with Minkee backing.   I had so much fun free motion quilting these.   I have learned a lot about tension, and loved how much easier it was to handle the Minkee on Esther vs. my domestic machine.

    Dave and Quiltmomof2,

I have attached three different manuals for you...the first is "Understanding the Controls" of 2013 Lifetime Warranty machines. The second is the machine's assembly manual, and the third is the "user manual"-- the one that says "Complete". That means that both assembly and operational instructions are included. I apologize, however, because I haven't had time to actually "combine" the them all into one manual just yet...I have more photos to take to complete that. So the "Complete" manual will show our previous Millennium machines in photos and button-pushing exercises. But these will get you started!

I purchased a 4'x12' painters canvas drop cloth, sewed a casing on each side and ran a cord thru the casing and then looped the ends of the cord around the ends of my frame ... makes a perfect sling to hold the batting for one quilt.
