  1. I have an iPhone and iPad and would love to test it if you still need testers. Thanx, KathyD
  2. I loved Italy! I would go back tomorrow if I could. We did a tour so very little time to shop on my own. I do know that Aurifil thread is in Milano and Alex Veronelli is very active on Facebook. He is a big wig there. I am certain that he could give you some info and if you ask nice I'm sure he would give you a tour of there plant. Now if you find any great place I would love if you would share. DH and I are planning on returning in the next year or two! Ciao ;D Kathyd
  3. Love your quilt and the quilting as well. May I ask what you did in your red squares or did you leave them unquilted. Thank you for sharing....I've added his to my favorites! KathyD;)
  4. So sorry for your loss. *(((Hugs)))* to all!
  5. I do not do embroidery as a business but do some embroidery. Although I have never embroidered on ripstop nylon I would think that using a microtech needle in the smallest size possible would do. The microtech has a very sharp point and is recommended for rain gear so it doesn't make a big hole in the fabric. If you say that the embroidery on the bag now is fuzzy I wonder if they used one of those "Wooly" yarns that you would use on the serger to do a rolled hem. If I were you I would try to find a piece of ripstop nylon and see how it goes. It might be a lot easier than you think. Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions! KathyD
  6. I just love the colors in this quilt. You did a wonderful job quilting it. Thanx for sharing, this is going in my favorites!!!
  7. I remember the e-ticket. You didn't get many of them. I would do the quilt but not for free. Like Barb said....grab that lap bar and go for the ride....just remember to stay seated until the ride comes to a full and complete stop! Sorry, I just had to! I'm sure you will do a great job. I hope you share pics when you are done.
  8. I have read this thread with great interest. I did ONE quilt for a customer with an extremely pieced back, almost to the point of being 2 separate quilts. I did my best and when they picked up the quilt I explained how difficult it is to center the backing to the front of the quilt. Maybe you should tell her that we NEVER center a backing seam on the back of the quilt as constant folding will weaken that seam and cause it to come apart! ;);)
  9. Is the only place you can order Thinsalate batting from 3M? I would love to try it out but I agree, don't want to have to purchase 3 rolls of the stuff. KathyD
  10. This is what I use and they work well..... http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Grips-Clips-2-Pack-White/dp/B0002YTG4K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1315315012&sr=8-3
  11. I love my Swirlz and Square Dance boards.
  12. Do they have this show every year? Next year is our 30th Anniversary and we were thinking about a week in France and a week in Italy....this would be a nice stop. Before I dragged him to Milan to Aurifil thread. KathyD
  13. On a recent trip to Penn Dutch this quilt done in tans and browns was hanging in the General store as the "Featured Quilt". It was King Size and stunning. It was hand quilted and had poly batting and they were asking $1499.00. Even my husband said that's a steal! He commented on how much work it must have been. I don't know if I could sell something as beautiful as that quilt! Good luck! KathyD
  14. Nothing a Margarita can't cure!
