  1. Thanks for the tip, Heidi! I'll be sure to keep an eye on that. Bill.
  2. Thank you both. It's radiating lines from a central area, vertical, horizontal and various degrees of diagonal in between. I just learned of the 'w' path for cross hatching, pretty slick, but won't work here. Bill.
  3. Greetings, How do you quilt straight lines that are longer than the throat of the machine? I'm guessing advance the quilt with needle down, but asking to see if there's something else/better.... Thanks. Bill.
  4. Thanks for the input, ya'll. Fusing, quilting around it, and then stitching the edges of the letter is sounding better now.... Bill.
  5. Morning, all. I'm making a t-shirt quilt and have a varsity letter to include. It is quite thick and I don't think I can quilt over it. I'm thinking of sewing it on by hand after quilting.... Does anyone have experience with this? Looking for advice/suggestions. Thanks Bill.
  6. Thanks Nigel, It is side to side and front to back, not up & down. I'll give the shop (apqs) a call during business hours. Bill.
  7. how 'bout the hopping foot bar? following the maintenance schedule, it said to check for hopping foot play - which is present, but doesn't suggest what to do.... tighten the height adjustment screw or some new parts (ie. bushings) [freedom sr, year and a half old, 2-3 quilts a week, have driven over some bulky seams a time or two!]
  8. I'm still interested. Nigel Dawn, You mentioned this to us last January at Road to California, and I'm still interested as well. Please keep us updated. Bill.
