  1. Actually the squares on the border are pieced! Quite well and accurately I might add!
  2. I have been waiting for this topic to come up as I am excited about it but thought it would be too early to mention it! I have never been to a MQX, have had my Millie for three years and am going this year. Is there anyone from the Hampton Roads area (VA) going who would want a travel buddy? At this point I am planning on flying.
  3. This is my first attempt at posting a picture so hoping it works! I am looking for ideas on how to quilt the border on this fishy quilt. I am going to do the usual bubbles, sea grass, outlining the fish... but I need advice on how to this border. The customer wants to keeps costs down so it needs be not too fancy.
  4. Experienced this one today! Same panto I did the last quilt (used bottom line) yet on this quilt I used Sofine in bobbin, ran out 3/4 of the way through the row. Next time I marked my panto on the plastic overlay before that spot with a erasable marker and I chose a less noticable spot to end and start a new bobbin. We live and learn!
  5. Hello Everyone! I have been lurking for a couple years and think maybe it is time to step out. I have learned so much for this forum and could not have grown in my abilities without it, so thanks to everyone. My question is I accepted a quilt from a customer but now I am having second thoughts. She cut the batting and and backing about 1/2 inch larger than the top. It is pinned together because she was going to quilt it on a DSM, so I know there is enough batting and backing. Has anyone ever quilted one with so little extra play to work with?
