  1. Posting for a friend, I have not seen this machine in person as it is located 300 miles from me. This is an estate sale, the quilter has passed away. She collected many sewing machines and I sold 12 Vintage Singers that were all in great condition. I am assuming this Gammill is dusty, but ready to go with some cleaning and servicing. Message me if you are serious and I will put you in touch with the seller. Gammill PM8014 Classic on a 14' table with Intellistitch Regulator. Seller is not willing to ship and asks buyer to disassemble and haul. You will have to make arrangements to see this machine in person. She was in running condition when quilter fell ill. $4,000 firm.
  2. Kathy, Check out Myrna Ficken's video on How to Load a quilt. She talks about pinning distances. She uses straight pins, but the same applies to any type of pinning. She has great tips. CLICK ON THE BLUE BOX THAT SAYS Watch on Vimeo. https://vimeo.com/208875744
  3. You will receive the allen wrench with your purchase. The feet are changeable, you can buy a set or individually, I love mine.
  4. My friend loves her spoon foot. I am going to try hers, it appears to be an awesome addition. Send APQS a message through their support page or give them a call.
  5. Sew Tweet, a pattern by Chitter Chatter Designs. I hand appliqued and embroidered the blocks in 2014; along with completing the top. Finally this year, I free motion quilted it on my Mille. This was a very fun project began by me and Lisa E. in 2014. It was my first attempt at embroidery; I was so blessed my Mother used to do all my embroidery, but she has since passed away. The blue birds remind of Cinderella birdies!!
  6. I agree with Sharon. Love it!!! The quilting really is perfect on such a cute quilt.
  7. Terry, it is exquisite ! Your piecing and quilting are awesome!!! Great Job.
  8. A lot of quilters use a saddle stool. You can do a search on this forum for a lot of information on them and also search the internet or Amazon.com for them. There are some in most every price range. I definitely recommend one that is adjustable in height. I don't use mine often, but love it for doing detail work.
  9. See Dawn Cavanaugh's post above............I believe that is what you are experiencing - the #8 Screw post.
  10. Debbie, is this for a Millie? If so, I might know someone.
  11. Maribeth, Welcome. We have had the topic of which computer system is best on this forum a number of times. Try doing a search and I bet you come up with loads of information.
  12. Great Job!!! It's adorable and I love how you quilted it.
  13. It looks great. Try taking photos of your fabrics lined up and then change the photo to black and white. It will show you how fabrics will blend or contrast. An old tool called a Ruby Beholder works the same. Its a deep red piece of plastic to look through; they were used alot when the watercolor quilts books came out in the 90's.The pics also help find stray blocks that might be turned wrong or in the case of a sampler, too many like colors together.
  14. I don't Facebook either so Forums it is. I miss all the activity that used to be on this forum as well.
  15. Wow! It is beautiful; alot of movement and gorgeous colors.
  16. MY husband retrofitted my 2005 Mille with LED lights like the newer models plus created a new, smaller light bar similar to the old one with LED's. I too, wear glasses and have no glare. I love the LED's. There is alot of information on the internet for configuring. Go for it!
  17. WHat a cheerful little quilt. Lone it, PattyJo.
  18. I've hand appliqued many quilt tops in the vehicle and that keeps me happy when on the road. Here is a pic from Pinterest of a woman sewing in her Ford Pick up on a featherweight!
