Thank you for the suggestions. Tension issues will at the very least make me crazy. I will tighten up the top tension & see how it goes. Shana, with tighter tension on the top than the bobbin, don't you get 'pokies' from the bobbin thread coming up on the quilt top? Barb

Thank you for the suggestion. I will try to move a little more slowly. Sometimes I do have a lead foot. Barb

I am in need of help from some of you more experienced quilters. I am having thread breakage when going from upper right in an arc to lower left. I have checked my thread path, put in a new needle & loosened my tension about as much as I dare, checked for lint under the bobbin thumb & cleaned the bobbin area. I am using Aurifil & MagnaGlide Bobbin. The thread seems to be breaking on the underside of the sandwich. Any ideas on the correction for this?

Hello, I am interested in Yippee Ki Yay, Curlz, Monkey Business, Clematis & Rhapsody. Please let me know if they are still available. If Sewbizzie doesn't want Drip or Plumage; I would like them also. Thanks very much, and happy quilting. Barb

wanted: Pajama Quilter workbooks
KBarb replied to KBarb's topic in For Sale - Used Quilting Machines
Terry, Thanks so much. I checked them out and it would cost me $72.00 just for shipping . The books are only $20 a piece. I will keep hoping to find some gently used. -
Sharon, That is about the only thing I have not tried. I do have it loose, I have been advised that too tight is not good. I will try it with the sandwich even looser. And I am doing a batik front and back, so perhaps extra loose is called for. Thanks for the widsom.

I checked Ebay before posting here. I can only find the DVDs there. Thanks for double checking for me. Barb -
I am interested in buying the PajamaQuilter workbooks, by Dawn Ramirez. They are; "PajamaQuilter Reloaded" and "PajamaQuilter Rethreaded". They are not in print any longer and I cannot buy them new. Anyone interested in clearing them out of their studio?

I hope someone out there can give me some advice. I am running King Tut and a magna glide bobbin. I am having an issue with the stitch quality. an occasional large loop, but more often, just poor stitch quality. It looks as if I need to increase the top tension, but I am afraid if I do that, the issue will be thread breakage. The poor stitching is not consistent. Sometimes it looks perfect. Any ideas? Thanks for whatever wisdom you can share.

LInda, Thanks a million for explaining exactly how to use these products. I need to fix a spot of dye transfer on one of my own quilts. I always pre-wash my fabrics so I don't have to do this correction stuff. I must not have washed the finished quilt with a color catcher, but I think I did..

Thanks Linda, I called and Amy fixed me right up. She is a terrific resource. So patient, I couldn't hardly believe it!!

Hello, I am a novice with a Lucey. I have noticed a discrepancy between the actual stitch length and what the dial is set at. With the dial set at 15, I am only getting 9.5 or 10 stitches per inch. The stitches are consistent, Is there an uncomplicated fix for this? Thanks for any help, Barb

Zeke, Thanks for the reply.. I was hoping to have a bobbin winder that took up a little less real estate in my quilting area. Barb -
ISO turbo bobbin winder for L size bobbins
KBarb posted a topic in For Sale - Used Quilting Machines
Hello everyone. This is my first post to the forum as I am new to this longarm world. I am the proud owner of a gently used Lucey. I am looking for a stand alone turbo bobbin winder for L size bobbins. I thought that perhaps someone who used pre-wound bobbins exclusively might be looking to clear one out of their studio. I can assure you I would give it a good home.
