  1. I thought it was just me who was having this problem and thought I was going nuts or being too particular.  I even have a wide backing that was very difficult to square because it didn't seem to be wound very good very full in the center of the backing.  I used to love the wide backs for ease of loading and know that it will be smooth through out but the one I have on now I have to keep checking with each roll that it is completely smooth under the quilt.  As for the hobbs backing I don't like the packages, they seem to compress the batting so tightly that even with some heat I still have a difficult time getting them to lye flat and even and there have been areas where the batting is very thin in spots.  I have also encountered the holes that appear on the back and even with the smallest needle that I could use they just seemed to make it look awful as I quilt.  But like Sharon Deming said they do close up after I spray with water and they dry.

  2. If the price wasn't decided when dropped off and edge to edge wasn't what was decided also and this person knows that you did custom quilting then I would charge accordingly to what you have for custom quilting.  I have charged .025 per square inch and a set thread charge and if I ironed and clipped thread that too is charged.  But most importantly what is your work and time worth to you??  This is beautifully done. well worth more than .05 per inch!  Good luck

  3. Lol I thought the same way before I saw the video by Dawn.  I know when I had my Millie I read through my manual but I sure didn't remember this part.  I did try putting my laser there but I couldn't figure out how I could use it that way because I wasn't smart enough to make a work table to hold the stencil!  LOL would have been nice if I had.  I'm a slow learner.  I loved the video and everything else all the gals at APQS do to help us learn.

  4. Welcome we can't wait to see some of your quilting.  I know your gonna love it!  I used to own a Mille and just loved it.  I had to sell and am going through withdraw this entire year.  I am looking forward to the day I own another one.  There is nothing more enjoyable than quilting for me except my children and grandchildren.

  5. I am having problems trying to enter.  There is no math problem for me to answer.  What do I do now??? It wont let me go back either had to close out and start over.  Hope that doesnt disqualify me on the very first day.  Any one else having problems? And where is the Spring 2018 contest information at?
