  1. I have a customer asking for a design for a Quilt of Valor she has made. She said it was like a spiral that looks like fireworks. She saw something on a Fons and Porter show. Can someone help me? I can not picture it.
  2. Thanks everyone, but how would I be able to sell mine and get out of it enough to get into a new machine? I have to tell you that I have never had a conversation with a dealer or company rep. on a sewing\ quilting machine. That lead them trying to relate my problem with a car problem they once had. I wish I would of spoke up to him then.
  3. I am looking for advice in longarm machines. I have one that I have had a lot of issues with. It has been replaced once already. Both have been worked on with parts replaced several times. Which has all been within the warranty time. The handle bars were replaced 3 times due to the lights kept going out. With the new set the light stays on but the buttons won't work. My dealer contacted the Company and they want the machine sent into them. Which I am ok with that until he says that he thinks they are going to cover checking it out and either replace or repair the machine, he thinks! We just might be out the freight. What! I should not out the freight. He promised me if I would trade my first one in for this one with a little upgrade price on the the frame, then the Compter. He would make sure that it was fixed, and I would be happy with it. Another reason I am upset over it is that the dealer made the comment that I still had a little time left on my warranty. Should it not start over when I received the new machine. This is why I am checking to see what everyone thinks I should do. Would I have a leg to stand on to just ask for the Company just to give me my money back? What would you do? Which machine would you go with if you had an option? It is not an APQS.
  4. Do you still have any pantos left? I will take all the good ones left. Cstucke80

This is going to be one time they wished they had washed before piecing. Would you tell her that she should use care in washing it the first time. I think if it was me I would like yo be told , but then I tell on myself that I made an oops with her quilt .
  7. I am not able to post a picture right now . From what I remember from it they looked string pieced to make up the designs. It is like a scrap type quilt.
  8. Sorry I did not see your message . I messaged through the board as soon as I saw your request. I am glad you were able to sell them. Keep me in mind next time.

  13. I have a quilt I am starting and for the live of me I can not get my tension right. First the thread just laid on the quilt or at least the is what I could tell. Now the top looks good but the bottom looks like it is just riding on the fabric. I loosen the top thread and you can just about rub the stitches off but the bottom looks the same . Just out for a ride you might say. Can someone give me some advice before I scream. Or something Connie
  14. My sister Sherry has passed away today to be with Jesus. She is no longer in pain. Thanks to everyone that sent prayers during her bout of cancer . We are all very sad today. But we are glad that she is out of pain. Thanks everyone. Prayers for everyone Connie
  15. I would be interested if you do also. Thanks cstucke80
  16. You can snip off a longer snapper into smaller pieces to help in lining up your quilt. That was easy to do and I love being able to have extra rod sizes to fit my needs. Connie
  17. I have the Red Snappers , I much prefer them over the pins. Tired of getting stuck every time I quilted. They get easier to use with each quilt. Connie
  18. I am interested in some of these, I would like to hear suggestions on the best ones for some that does not have a lot of tools starting out. Anyone with suggestions please pm me. cstucke80
  19. Sherry is still quilting with us. We finished the pink quilt this weekend out of the strips . She has added Blue to her list of quilt colors to do now. We are all enjoying working on the quilts. I believe the blue is the last one she has left. My other sisters and Sherry should finish it this week. Sherry also has a doctors appt. in the morning. I hope things goes ok, but I am afraid she has picked up an infection the way she coughs and the noise that she makes just breathing. It reminds me of a teapot rattling. Her balance is very unsteady. When she got to my house Sat. We had to help her walk into the house. It was like slow motion walking. Like she was trying to remember which foot to use or how to do it. Today she seemed better with knowing what she was doing or going to do. We also completed 4 baby minky blankets also this weekend. One of those is going to her neighbor she said, the other ones she said because she might see a baby that needs one " You know Connie babies like the feel of those blankets ". There are times when we are talking and she will stop, close her eyes and she is asleep. Then she will wake up like nothing happened. We have been blessed for having this time together as well as the APQS Quilt Warriors for helping us with these last quilting memories. We had been told that she had 2 weeks left. Sherry is a fighter because she has exceeded that. I ask her today ''ok what is on the list for your next one, she just said right now the blue is the only one for now. '' I will send another update when she completes the blue one. Thank you guys we would not of been able to do it with all your help. Connie
  20. Thanks Oma! I was able to get the tute. Looks like very easy to follow instructions. Super cute idea for gifts, just in time for Christmas:). I am going to start looking for cute bowls and material. If you have more Christmas gift ideas please share. I think this would make a great gift for someone you are taking a meal into as well. If you had things made up ahead of time. Connie
