  1. If you dont sell, you can always give to a quilt guild, or schools take fabric scraps too. Just an idea, if you dont sell
  2. So Sorry to hear about your store closing. No quilt shops in Williamsburg, VA. Colonial Williamsburg is known for their quilting, but no quilt shops. How sad. Best to you on your new endeavors.
  3. I love this topic, and my business is growing with cutomers. No quilt shop within miles and my guild now has about 6 longarmers. I don't get too many customers from the guild, but where I live. The thing about it is, people want great prices and want their quilts to look good. I have had 2 people call me to quilt their quilt tops, and because I don't have a computer, they went to another longarmer. I even had showed them some of my work. Oh well, Now we have formed a longarmer group through our guild and can help each other out with that. Just chiming in. Ann

  7. Too funny. Because I was putting in the same as the caption 4 + 2 I was putiing it in over and over, Then after a week, I read it and it wanted the sum. LOL I laughed so hard.
  8. Help please! The curved pieces on the Roller Brake that has the velcro on it keeps me from rolling my quilt. It gets sticky and the velcro is coming off. So I am going to Walmart or Lowes and get some more. Any ideas on this?
  9. The only time I doubled my batting was on a Qnique quilting machine on my frame. I used Warm and natural all cotton and had no problem, it was tightly quilted so bunching could not be allowed. No problem with the quilting, didn't even raise my hopping foot. Quilt turned out fine. Never did it again, because I never really thought it was such more special than a single batting quilt. Hope you love the outcome of yours!
  10. Amazing Grace panel. I made one for my Pastor and wife. And one for my home.
  11. My sewing rooms are my CREATIVE rooms. My Lucey room is my play room! Your space is super duper!
  12. So Sorry for all you are going through. Keep fighting, and tell your body that too. Praying this morning for you and Landon as well. God is hearing our prayers!
  13. Continuing in Prayer for you Rita. Patience (longsuffering) is of the Fruit of the Spirit. We all have things go bad and good in our lives, but we need to keep going and Trust in the Lord.

  16. Im being totally positive that my customers will grow past 4. My website is quiltingforyou.us. I am seriously thinking about rebuilding a new website, and Im talking it up at my quilt guild this weekend. Just got my Lucey last week, and already she is a awesome quilting machine and she is ready to work. I'm not new at longarming. Thought it would take longer to get used to Lucey, but she is wonderful. Any ideas or tips would be useful. I am quilting quilts for Quilts of Valor, and charity quilts for my guild.
