  14. I was wondering why you all bought your APSQ instead of another brand. I am somewhat discouraged because my stitches do not look so good, loops ect...I have a friend that just bought a Gammil with all the bells and whistles and a SR. The quality of her stitches is really nice. Is it the machine? the quilter??? thanks
  15. Thanks for the info, I quilted a 90x90 quilt last wso told if the bobbin did not wind correctly this might further add to my problem, also a greasy bobbins won't wind, do you have any things i might like to avoid. It has taken my friend 3 days to "unsew" that quilt. Lesson llearned
  16. Hi I have a Towa Bobbin tester. What should the tension be in a bobbin ?What are the normal limits and upper limits?? Thanks Ladies
  17. Hey Ladies, I need some advise before I sell the machine. I am very discouraged:( 1 quilt ago I noticed loops strung with a tight thread in the back of a quilt I was doing. I though it was my bobbin so I got a new case, put in in and the machine ran smooth, no threads breaking. Saturday I put a queen size quilt on the the beast, I noticed some loops so I took out 2 blocks, adjusted the top tension and began again. this time i put a light underneath so i could see my stitches. I did 2-3 passes x 88" everything looked great, so away I went....When I took the quilt off the machine, I had big patches with loops and tight thead and patches where then patches where the stitches were great??? any suggustions?? Thanks
  18. Does anyone know what an O Ring for the bobbin winder is?? My Bobbin winder winds with uneven tension. Also what is the tension machine all about. I am having wicked time with loops on the back of my quilt. The little spring in the bobbin case fell out when I put in back in I think I might have bent the spring??? I am just trying to figure this all out. Thanks for your help
  19. Thanks for your response.. that's too bad. I guess I should be glad that it ran as long as it did . Just think of it ... the 100 best quilts of the century... we were able to see some these crafts people. It's to bad. I will miss Alex's show.
