I'm using Superior MonoPloy invisible thread with a magna glide bobbin. Loose tension, and stitches look fine. 3.5 needle as recommended by Superior. No twisting on the thread path. Net on the spool. Doing custom quilt. First ruler block went fine. Set up a panto for the wide border, and I'm getting thread breakage every few inches. What else can I try? It driving me crazy since the invisible thread is so hard to see to re-thread. 2017 Millie. M bobbin

I have a 2017 blissed Millie with most of the bells and whistles. I’m trying to figure out what it is worth if I decide to sell it and get a new model. Any ideas?

I had that problem with the cheap batting Joanns sells. If someone brings me that I refuse to use it anymore.

I agree, people DO think that is easy. I got a last minute quilt last year, for a parent's 50th wedding anniversary. All blocks with photos or drawings. She wanted a "quick" "simple" stitch in the ditch. She was shocked when I explained that this was a custom job and how difficult so called simple stitching is. Super king size and she'd budgeted only $100. LOL Wanted me to bind it too. When I gave her the cost, she almost fainted. Finally took it on after she talked to the rest of the family and they helped with the cost, but she decided to bind it herself too. She still had to pay over $600. I got that one done and out! in three days. All ruler and hand guided.

Wow, that machine costs a small fortune new. Someone take advantage, it's a wonderful machine.

I only wrap once with heavier threads and non slippery threads. Glide and a few others I wrap two times. If the sensor keeps going off and the thread isn't broken, I adjust the wraps.

There are arrow pantos that might work well.

Go for the Millie. I researched a lot before getting mine. The quality of the frame and smoothness there is no comparison. Even very old APQS machines are still running well, and I've seen many Handiquilter machines DOA after a few years of hard use. They just aren't made as sturdy. I have had my Magnificent Millie with quilt path for 4 months. I used a friend's Millie for 6 quilts before buying mine. I've done several more since. I'm what I would consider an advanced beginner, and Quilt Path makes me look good. I set up to do quilting as a business. I have had home businesses before and know what is needed. But despite all the typical stuff I am not getting clients. And before you ask; I have business cards I give out frequently, magnet signs on my car, a Facebook page, ads in the ASG and local Guild newsletters, do lots of show and tells, talked to shops, still trying to set up a website, am advertising on quilting pages that allow, did a sale, and more. All I have gotten is a few UFOs from someone on one of my quilting Facebook sites. I did my research and my prices are mid for my area. There aren't too many longarm quilters near by. I talk about my business all the time. But so far still no local clients. Hubby was a adamant that I pay back my Millie by taking in quilts. I'm willing, but am stumped. Other than finishing my website, which I'm trying to do, what else can I do?
