I had that problem with the cheap batting Joanns sells. If someone brings me that I refuse to use it anymore.

I'm sure someone would offer. We all love our machines. If you want to travel a bit to Tucson I'd be happy to show you.

I agree, people DO think that is easy. I got a last minute quilt last year, for a parent's 50th wedding anniversary. All blocks with photos or drawings. She wanted a "quick" "simple" stitch in the ditch.  She was shocked when I explained that this was a custom job and how difficult so called simple stitching is. Super king size and she'd budgeted only $100. LOL Wanted me to bind it too. When I gave her the cost, she almost fainted. Finally took it on after she talked to the rest of the family and they helped with the cost, but she decided to bind it herself too. She still had to pay over $600. I got that one done and out! in three days. All ruler and hand guided.

A lady called me to do a quilt. The back story was shared. Her friend, a 93 y/o lady told her this was her very last quilt. She wanted to give it to her daughter to remember her by. Her friend offered to get it quilted and finish it so she could. It has lots of oddball fabrics, some squares are appliquéd on. Wonky piecing. But beautiful non the less. Simple giant meander pattern, on my Millie and Quiltpath, 100% cotton batting.

I live in Tucson, Az. One a year we have a Quilt and Sewing Show known locally as the Rusty Barn show. Gammill is always there. Handiquilter is usually there. And so is RocketBlocket. Even Innova was there last year but not this year. But never APQS. We have one of the best machines out there. I'd love to see APQS represented. I've only owned my Millie for 6 months or I'd do it.

I'm in the Tucson Quilter's Guild. Maybe I'll contact them and ask! Good idea Barb. Once I've had my Millie long enough I'm considering becoming a tech and /or dealer. We are very underrepresented in this area.
