Hi ladies. I always come to you when I need help. I have a practice piece on my Millie. I am 2/3 of the way done using a panto. Suddenly, my thread started to break. I have changed the tension, changed the needle, checked for knicks and am still having a problem. I have taken out the bobbin and lowered the needle and the needle sticks as if there is bobbin thread to pull up. I don't have any idea about how to proceed. Anyone with any ideas? Thanking you in advance. Rachel
I am truly baffled....when doing a panto, I get to the same area on the quilt every roll and the bobbin thread seems to break about 1/4 inch outside of the bobbin..it is shredded on the end of the thread and it only happens once each pass and in the same area...I have checked everything...and cleaned everything, and changed needles...doesn't happen when doing custom quilting, just a panto...what could it be??? The only things that are differant are the area on the frame and the quilt itself...does anyone have any ideas?
Hi ! I have a quilt that does not to be quilted much, just two curved lines within one strip, the quilt resembles an american flag. So I started to go from left to right , turn around at the end and go from right to left, but after 2 or 3 inches my thread is virtually shredded ?? The needle is new and I have no problems going from left to right, or in the star part in loops around the stars ? Can someone tell me what is wrong ? thanks Lisa
Ok, I have just about had it, want to throw this quilt and machine into the garbage. I have tried everything suggested and still have problems. I can hear the bottom thread snap, going along, gonna stop to move myself and you can hear the thread snap. Checked and the tension seems fine, the thread seems to come out of the hole in the bobbin case also. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Ginny
