  1. I was fortunate to be able to quilt Three of these baby Quilts for the same customer. She Used the Pattern Mommy and Me. She used a white on White Fabric That had a 1" diamond grid printed on it for the Background in the center area as soon as I saw that that I wanted to practice some grid work . I just went for it what do you think do you practice on customers quilts? Hope you have a great Day.
  2. I got Millie in September and did two small quilts with a meander stitch. This one I went all out and did my first custom work with rulers and free motion. So thrilled with the turnout. Each stripe has a different pattern( stripes, plaid, cross hatch, meander, loops). The first border is wishbones and the outer border is piano keys. @quiltedjoy
  3. This is a customer quilt that was made for a Relay for Life auction in June. Pattern: Sugar Roses by Susan Guzman for McCall's quilting magazine. I used 2 layers of Hobbs 80/20, So Fine thread. I freehand quilt on a green Millennium with bliss.
  4. For some time, Mum and I have thought about working on a quilt together. She paints and let's just say... I don't. (can't!!) With time fast running out to get this one finished, she offered to paint my borders in, which I readily agreed to. Originally designed so that quilting space was at a premium, the vine border was an idea that developed when I was well along in the construction phase. We are both pleased with the end result and are planning our next quilt together. Thanks for looking.
  5. Wow it has been a while since I visited the forum. Hope everyone of you are doing great. I am wanting to raise my rates but I have to say I am not in the know as with my busy schedule and I rarely visit my favorite forums anymore to keep up. What are the going rates now for ETE/ custom/. No big awards on my belt just lots of quilts and experience. Was wondering if any of the seasoned quilters took this plunge and how did your longtime customers respond? I am suffering from alittle burnout lately but not because I am tired of quilting but I want to QUILT my way for the most part. Time for a Change. Been doing this for 8 years and believe I am undercharging. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
