  3. Update: This machine has been sold. I am lowering the price to $8,500 OBO. I am selling my Millie for $8,500 cash. This is a 2009 machine that I got new in 2010. I thought it was a 2010 until my tech looked up the serial number and it was one of the last ones made in 2009. It includes quilt glide stitch mode, automatic quilt advance, M & M wheels, LED lighting including black light, the base expander, the open foot kit, maintenance manual, and a clear table bed that you can use for tracing. It has just been checked out by the local Millie tech and is in new condition. It has only been used to make less than ten quilts. The local Millie tech says he will do a limited warranty on it for 90 days for a local buyer. I live in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This will give you time to set it up and make sure it is all working correctly. I am selling it because I am retiring and updating to the latest Millie. My email is sluboch@hotmail.com
  4. I was just quilting and my top roller stopped rolling. I have the motorized fabric advance. It turns on--makes a whirring sound like it always does so I assume it is on- but it is not powering the roller to roll the quilt. Obviously I can't quilt now. Is there a manual switch so I could at least finish this quilt and get if off the frame. I can't locate a switch. My Millenium machine/setup is 2011. Any ideas what might be wrong? I will call APQS in the morning since it is now after 5PM.
  5. 2012 APQS Millennium Longarm Quilting Machine with Quilt Path Computerized System and freehand tools – Selling for just $18,000 – Would cost you $34,075 if new) Machine is like new, fewer than 100 quilts stitched on this machine. Some of the extras have never been used. Machine has never needed service and works great. Reason for selling: Owner is a professional Quilt Pattern Designer and thought she’d like to quilt some of her designs, but her designing business takes up the bulk of her time, so she has quilted only a few. If you buy this treasure of a machine, you’ll have EVERYTHING you need to get started and then some, whether you want to try freehand quilting or computerized quilting. And I’ll give you a free training class ($250 value) in my home studio in Gloucester, VA, to familiarize you with the machine (I own a similar one) and to help you operate a business from your home. Machine resides with the owner in Waldorf, MD. I am an APQS representative and am helping the owner sell her machine. Contact: Georgene Huggett, Gloucester, VA, Email: Georgene@GeorgeneQuilts.com (757) 848-6540 Owner will disassemble and package the machine ready for your pickup. No shipping. The owner originally bought the machine without the computer, but decided to add it 5 months later, which is why you’re getting the benefit of both hand guided tools and the computer. You have a choice. All blue prices in parentheses indicate price if you were to buy new ($ if new). MACHINE ($19,700 for machine only) -- ($34,075 with machine extras and computer) 2012 APQS Millennium (top of the line) which includes – Stitch Regulator Thread Cutter Single Stitch Button Laser Light Turbo Bobbin Winder Black Light Horizontal and Vertical Channel Lock (only the Millennium has both horizontal and vertical Platform Hopping Foot (others available for purchase) Owner ordered many extras with the machine -- Bliss Rails on 12-foot table ($1,000 extra) Most people’s choice, 26” throat space, 12’ table will do King sized quilt and the Bliss rails help the machine move very smoothly. 16. No new client quilts to do. I have several of my own to do and actually have two loaded (smaller so both at once). But I can't seem to get myself going. I look at Magnificent Millie, and just can't seem to start. Husband had major surgery early December and is still healing, I know that's part of it. I need encouragement.
  17. Looking for a APQS Freedom, Lucey, or Lenni with a 10 ft. frame. Prefer Bliss frame.
  18. Oh, NO! I might have entered twice on the same day I can't be sure. If I did, does this mean I am disqualified for the entire contest now?
  19. I placed my order for a demo Millie last week with Myrna Ficken who is my regional sales rep. However, I’m delaying delivery for the completion of my basement in the next 5-6 weeks. What books, resources, etc. do you recommend to help me hit the ground running after the arrival of this much anticipated machine? Thank you for any tips you would like to share.

  23. Please help me decide between these two machines --- APQS Millie and Handi Quilter Infinity My husband and I are planning to purchase one of these machines by summer to start a home business for machine quilting. We also plan to buy either the ProStitcher or the IntelliQuilter software for the machine, because that is the primary focus for developing our business. I DO want to do my own custom quilting manually on my machine, but that won't be the type of quilting I will do for our customer base until I master the techniques for myself. I know this is an APQS board, but I know that there have been reviews and comparisons of other machines here as well. I would so much appreciate any insight from anyone who has used both brands of machines to talk about quality, features, and service. What is it that I MUST know about either machine that could seriously impact my decision? My husband is learning toward the Handi Quilter machine now, primarily because of the difference in cost and that the dealer is less than 1 hour away from where we live. The Handi Quilter does have a financing plan of no interest charges for up to 5 years which is VERY attractive to both of us. I like the APQS because of its lifetime warranty, and I prefer the design and sturdiness of the table that it comes with. Trying out both machines hasn't really shown me any preferences in easy or functionality of one machine over the other. But, then again, I have not done any longarm machine quilting before either. I don't want to be too short-sided, however, and make a decision on cost alone and wish that I had considered other features before buying. Hence, my questions to those of you kind enough to read my question. Thank you! Lisa

  25. I took my Millie by the front handles and decided to operate on her. I bought all the necessary parts to make her an M bobbin. I took all her L parts out. I sanded the shaft and wiped it off , greased the inside where the shaft goes. I installed the M guts and I am proud to say everything went very good. She is sewing like a champ. Carol
