Good Morning! I'm looking for some expert advice. I'm piecing a quilt and for one of the fabrics I want to use a leftover piece of a wide back. The size of the piece is such that it makes the most sense, and will be easier, to cut on the lengthwise grain. The rest of the fabrics, I had planned to cut across the width. Is this going to cause a problem in the construction or quilting? Thank you. g

I hope the picture shows up.....it's my first Bargello quilt. It will be a queen size bedspread in the end. Critique on my pallette choices would be appreciated. and also suggestions on best way to quilt it too....

I know this Forum is for machine quilting but I'm hoping someone can help me on piecing a backing. For some reason my brain is blank today! I have a quilt top that measures about 84" x 94". I have 8 yards of 44" backing fabric to make the backing. How exactly should I cut the fabric and piece it? Any advice I can get will be appreciated.
