  2. An avid quilter has passed away, and her 16-year-old Bernina 1260 is now available. I hope that this machine can continue to do great work in the world! It has been regularly serviced, and has been idle for 5 years. Here are the details: Comes with everything pictured, and we'll throw in the table/cabinet for free. Includes the following feet: 1, 2, 3, 3A, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 23, 37, Walking foot. Price is negotiable, and we are asking $850 for the whole enchilada. We also have a Singer Ultralock 14 serger with about 50 thread spools (many colors). Make an offer!
  3. Hi there, I have had my sewing machine for 17 plus years and it works most of the time - I have had it in for repair and it comes back doing the same things I send it in for repair. I have gone on YouTube to see if I could trouble shoot, and I have learned a few things but still it is temperamental at times. I would like to replace it - as I have some projects on the go and would like things to run smoothly. The throat size is nice on my older machine and new machines seem to be extremely smaller than what I have. I don't need a million types of thread stiches or fancy colors on it, all I am thinking that I would like are automatic threading and cutter. I have looked into two machines that I am considering the first is JuKi excite and singer quantum 9960 - lower end in pricing but seems to offer what I am looking for. Are there other machines that anyone can recommend or suggest? I live two hours from a sewing dealer of any kind - and would like to do a bit of research so when I am there, I can ask see and test. I live in Canada and may not have some of the options suggested but I am willing to look in to them before making a final decision. thank you in advance tloagn

  6. Hi. Anyone love their "regular" sewing machine? I would love to hear your recommendations. Obviously I don't need it for quilting...use the longarm for that.... but I am upgrading from my mechanical Bernina 1008 which I LOVE LOVE LOVE! But I want some decorative stitches for applique, an automatic needle threader, knee lift etc. Some of the fun stuff to make life just a tad easier. I don't need embroidery functions but won't rule out a machine if it has that. I have tested out some baby locks and Berninas and they are so much faster and the baby lock so much quieter than what I have. Any suggestions? Any brand? I want to spend the next week or so shopping and testing these at the various dealers in my area. Thanks so much for your help.
  7. Selling my Bernina Artista 165 I am the second owner of the machine, and used it once to make a costume. The previous owner was my friend, and I know she took very good care of it. It has been serviced and got a clean bill. The machine comes with all the standard feet, manual, case, embroidery attachments and the original boxes in which it came. When I purchased the machine from my friend, I bought 15 additional bobbins, volume 1 guide to the feet, and a darning foot, and the extra stand up case at the Local Bernina dealer. Those are included with the machine. I am asking $1500. (not including the shipping) Item can be picked up at my location. The machine is located in Murrieta, Ca. Please contact me by phone or email. 760-917-4091 or cindeequilts2@gmail.com My name is Cindee. (Feet # 20, 21 and 57 are included as well as a ruffler attachment) Some how, these did not get in with my posting.
  8. Please pardon me for posting this a second time. I am new to this forum and just found this group. I am selling a Janome Memory Craft 6600 Professional. Asking for $950 + shipping, unless you live near Cincinnati and are able to pick it up. It is in excellent condition and comes with all the accessories : 14 feet, the knee lift, soft cover and extension table. I treat my machines well and take good care of them. This is an excellent machine. It is basically a work horse. I have used it for piecing, applique and quilting. The automatic thread cutter is very convenient. I could not live without it or the knee lift. The bed space (9 inches) is among the largest available in similar machines. I have quilted up to King-size quilts on this machine. Overall it is a great machine and you will absolutely love it. Please refer to the Janome website for additiona information: http://content.janom...uilting/MC6600P Contact me at paisley_sr at yahoo dot com. Thanks.
  9. This is a Singer Featherweight 221 Centennial model sewing machine in excellent working condition. The machine runs smoothly and the sewing stitch is perfect! Included with this Featherweight are the bobbin case, five bobbins, large screw driver, foot control, and carrying case. This machine was professionally serviced during July 2012. At that time the belt, felt pad in base, foot control and power cord were replaced. The badge on the front reads "A CENTURY OF SEWING SERVICE 1851 * 1951 THE SINGER MANFG CO TRADE MARK". The serial number AK429861 dates this machine to May 10, 1951. The finish is glossy and the gold key design is in very good condition. There is some wear on the throat plate but this does not affect the operation or stitch quality of the machine. Reason for selling: I need to reduce the number of machines in my collection! Price is $325 plus insured shipping if needed from the San Francisco Bay area.
