I usually stitch in the ditch for stars to pop out. Can anyone help me find a way to quilt the stars and make them stars of the quilt? I meanI don't want to take anything away from the stars. Its for a quilt of valor. Thanks for your responses in advance!
Hi, I finished this Star Quilt last week for a customer. I did freehand quilting on the interior of the quilt and used a QZ board for the Ribbon Candy in the black border and my CL Bead Board for the gold outer border. I used Glide thread in Sand for the everything except the black border, where I used black thread. I didn't change bobbin colors when I switched to the black but now I wish I had. I can see black threads on the gold backing. Diane's Star quilt by Heirloom Quilter, on Flickr Untitled by Heirloom Quilter, on Flickr Untitled by Heirloom Quilter, on Flickr Unt

I will try to make the border (top and bottom only) similar to these feathers. Winnie Not sure why the photo didn't upload the first time. Here I go again...I hope.

I used fall & earthy tones for the most part so maybe mine should be called something different. I also used a 100% Bamboo batt from Winline and it is so soft and I didn't have any issues at all with this very cozy batt and I used Glide thread and Magna Bobbins. I tried a
